Hayden Box, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in total hip and knee replacement surgery. He proudly serves the community in and around Salem, New Hampshire, at Essex Orthopaedics and Optima Sports Medicine.  Dr. Box attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he studied biomedical engineering. He continued his education, graduating from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Box then moved to Dallas, Texas, for his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Box believes in providing all of his patients with quality care and a friendly atmosphere. He is one of the few surgeons offering anterior total hip replacement in the region. He is board-eligible in orthopedic surgery and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons.  Dr. Box listens to his patients’ concerns and needs so he can customize their services. He strives to give his patients top-quality care and stays current in the newest technology.  When he’s not in the office he enjoys spending time with his wife, Virginia. They both feel at home in the Northeast, where they met.
