About Dr. Onyewu Chukwuemeka Onyewu, MD, is one of the nation’s leading plastic and reconstructive surgeons. Dr. Onyewu graduated cum laude from Boston University at the age of 19 and went on to attend Boston University School of Medicine as a Commonwealth Scholar. He completed his general surgery residency under Dr. Lasalle D. Leffall, Jr., at Howard University Hospital, where he earned both the intern of the year and chief resident of the year awards. He completed Plastic Surgery fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital under the direction of Dr. Scott Spear, a former president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Onyewu offers comprehensive plastic surgery services but has a special interest in body sculpting with liposuction, fat transfers, as well as breast surgeries, including augmentations, reductions, lifts, and reconstruction.
