TDS Personnel

A few months after arriving in Toronto, and with no luck on the job front (and funds running low), a friend of mine recommended i contact TDS. My background is film and TV production, so at the time, even if it was just to get a temp job to tide me over while i searched for work in my field, i decided to give them a go. Within a few days of having a meeting with them i was contacted about a temp job that was available. It was only meant to be for a week but i ended up getting 4 & 1/2 months full time work out of it. Within another two weeks of finishing said placement, TDS contacted me again with another temp job which started at an initial 1 week placement and then ended up continuing full time for another 4 months until now. Through working at said job, and making contacts there, i am delighted to say that I am soon to start a production job.
After almost 5 years of searching for work in my field, the girls at TDS gave me the opportunity to make my contacts here in Toronto, get invaluable "Canadian experience" (it really does help to get your foot in the door for future employers) and in the meantime make enough money to pay my bills and keep the wolves from the door.
Now don't get me wrong, you won't become rich working the majority of office admin jobs, but they help keep food in your stomach, bills paid and a roof over your head. If you work hard, even in a temp job for a few days, you can get a great report back to TDS from your placement, which can lead to other opportunities, and who knows where it'll lead you. Just look what happened for me. Also a few friends of mine got their first step on their career ladders here through TDS.

I will be forever grateful to Samara, Lisa and all the others working at TDS. They gave me back the hope i had seen drift away over the last few years while i looked for work. They empowered me to put the head down, work hard, and in the end begin on the path to realizing my dreams. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I applied for a job, got a call from Tds, Was told I was the right fit by Hannah over the phone after she reviewed my resume with me on the phone as well. We set an appointment, I went all the way downtown to be told by Hannah that the job isn't for me. Why tell me otherwise on the phone and make me waste my time going all the way down there? I will tell you why. This way I went there,..filled out paperwork and if I ever find a position that an individual has posted at tds , Hannah will make money if I get the position. I will never in my life deal with a recruiter again, I should've listened to individuals who told me that these recruiters are all a waste of time.
