I was in a Teen Challenge, they forced you to eat, couldn't see your parents or tell them curtain things like when everyone had lice, couldn't sing secular music, if you got introuble they took all your stuff away including clothes and gave you a worn out blue shirt and prison pants and took all your shoes but church flats and sneakers, if you ran away which mind you is the middle of nowhere they would give you an orange jump suit and an ankle monitor and flip flops and put u on a set diet consisting of unseasoned oatmeal, tuna and bread and canned ravioli for 30 days, you weren't allowed to talk unless staff was there and it had to be "level appropriate" and you had to have three people, peer correction was common but doing research into it phycologist suggest is a major red flag, snitching was encoraged, there were no liscend therapist yet they feel like there qualified enough to put "therapeutic" in there title, they will lie to your parents and if you tried telling your parents what was happening through a letter they would refuse to send it out, if you got sick they wouldn't take you to the hospital unless urgent one girl swallowed a bottle of mouth wash just to get to authorities, it's all christian based and shoved down your throat and if you tried to practice other religion you were punished, if you get introuble they make you write a CQ which is a bible verse, questions, and a big paragraph and they will make you write it up to 500x's, it cost a total of 40k if you graduate on time and it's about $3,700 a month, for proof if y'all really think im lying I have screenshots of the rule book which appear to already be posted....I was there for 18 months people who are trying to say this is fake have never lived it a d if they have they gave in and are basically brainwashed.. They forced us to do manual labor (which isn't an issue for my personally except when they made us pick up twigs for an hour) but when girls would refuse they would get introuble which would hold them back in there program holding them back from there family.. the adolescent centers are full of kids simply acting like a normal teen and there rich parents didn't want to put up with them, there were only a couple who were court ordered with drug issues where they cut them off cold turkey... The living facility is rundown and they didn't have enough seats for everyone so 18 girls out if 30 had to sit on the dirty floor...and the school system consist of unqualified teachers and makeshift desks and everything was online and if you were struggling in a subject you had to get help from a student because the teachers simply weren't qualified enough to help but you only had 30 minutes of "tutoring" we were stuck in a small room with half the group for 7 hours and only had two bathroom breaks and if we had to go more than that you were punished ... I actually made it to the near end of my program and than at the end of my program stopped trying because I realized how messed up this place actually is.. it's not like I didn't try I was sent there because my parents disliked my (ex) boyfriend I had never touched drugs, never went to parties, I didn't even like alcohol ...if a staff member disliked you you were most likely to be targeted with more punishments than people who were favored, if you were favored you could get away with anything... They gave a girl a book called "gay girl good God" to try and convert her from her homosexual tendencies... They would drag us to random churches to perform in hopes to gain money during the offering .... This place is not regulated by the government there are no professionals on sight it's basically a money grab... The majority of the positive comments come from staff members, parents of the favored children who graduated, or people associated in teen challenge either benefiting or donating
