Dr. Husain completed his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degree at AGA Khan University Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. He went on to complete his internship in Internal Medicine at the University of North Dakota in Fargo, ND. Dr. Husain did his residency in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH. He then finished his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Husain has won many awards and honors including the ICIC Merit Scholarship for graduate medical training at AGA Khan University Hospital, awarded to only three students in Pakistan.
