Dr. Gun graduated from the Hacettepe University Medical School in Turkey, earning her Master?s Degree in Human Genetics. She then attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, to earn her medical degree. Dr. Gun completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the State University of New York in Buffalo, NY. She went back to the University of Michigan School of Medicine in Ann Arbor, MI, to complete her residency. Dr. Gun has completed research in the areas of esophageal cancer, colon cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. Her medical interests include Women?s Health, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Dr. Gun received a senior fellowship award from the American Gastroenterological Association for research in colon cancer molecular genetics. Dr. Gun is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Gastroenterological Association and she is a Diplomat of the American College of Physicians.
