Winterborn Alpaca is pure luxury! Made using premium Andean alpaca fleece, each piece is hand crafted with love using traditional techniques honed by Quechua artisans. Unlike sheeps wool, alpaca fleece is hypoallergenic by nature, while being softer, lighter, and warmer too! Founded in 2007 as a collaborative effort between Canadian designers and South American artisans, after more than 10 years, Winterborn Alpaca still works hand in hand with the same families and Indigenous groups with whom we first partnered. Our direct relationship trade practices ensure ethical, top quality products and our product line has expanded from scarves to include socks, mittens, beanies, and a unique collection of handmade alpaca teddy bears! We are not only committed to preserving ancient textile traditions, but to sharing these luxurious garments with the world.
