Systema training for 2019 now every Wednesday near the Crystal Pool ball courts on Quadra. Rain or shine winter training 4:30-7pm Beginners welcome. Practioners will find multilevel conditioning techniques in these weekly workshops to build strong mind and emotional well being. Cost for class is by donation. Systema is a very practical and unique form of self-defence and covers all elements of combat, including punching, kicking, throws, locks, pressure points, groundwork and weapons. The Body has to be free of tension, filled with endurance, flexibility, effortless movement and explosive potential. Systema is used by the Russian military and special forces (Spetsnaz). Systema can be learned by anyone, emphasizes freedom of movement, and complete control under duress with no memorization.
