Zellers, Hamilton Reviews (4)
Everyone I talked to was extremely helpful. I was in and out within 20 mins, it was awesome. I'd take zellers over walmart anyday
I don't know how this place stays open. A nice clean walmart would be good. Staff sit outside on the park bench smoking all day. Cigarette butts are everywhere. Heard from one of the employees, that rodents are amiss all night, and they clean mouse crap off the shelves....never ever again will I buy food there. YUK!!
Staff sit on the bench and smoke on their breaks, usually. Just like at other places of employment. Nothing wrong with that.
This store is brutal!!!! They used to have a policy that if there were more than three people in line they would get another cashier. Well they took those signs down and since then it's been pretty rough. You WILL ALWAYS wait in line at this store, the cashiers take forever and it's not uncommon to see 3-4 cashiers all gathering at one register when a problem comes up. Cashiers are rude when questions are asked, its as if they don't care about mispriced items....I loathe going to this location. The only reason we go there is the Pharmacy (if called in ahead) does a good job of filling orders and their dispensing fee is lower than most places when using insurance. You have to call items in ahead most times as they sometimes are low on stock for medications and take deliveries in the afternoon. Majoy problem is it's hard to resist the temptation of picking items on sale up when you're there only to head to the checkout and realize that you've just added another 10 miuntes to your trip. We live 2 minutes away, but prefer to drive the extra 10 minutes to Wal Mart.
I work in retail, and I feel you were too harsh on the employees.
It's not the cashier's fault if the line is moving slowly, it depends on how many items the customer being served has, and if they have any questions or problems, or sometimes we have computer problems as well.
The reason we gather together during a problem is because we try to help each other. It's called team work.
If you come into a store and there is only one or two cashiers, that's because they were the only ones scheduled. They try to get help, and they go as fast as possible to make sure the job is done right.
All I'm saying is it's easy to blame and get frustrated because you're the customer. I sometimes feel the same way when I'm at stores, no I don't want to wait in line either but it happens. Sometimes something's not priced right, either it gets fixed or I'll get it elsewhere. But since I actually work retail, I understand and can sympathize with any retail employee.
I don't understand why people get so upset over stuff like this. It's not like anyone is forcing you to go to stores you don't like.

they never have enough staff, won't accept travelers cheques, staff are rude, told by pharmacy that they don't have my meds because i come at the wrong time of day (2:00 Sunday afternoon), washroom wasn't clean. this new store is worse than the old one was. i will not shop there again. would rather go to zellers on queenston rd or drive to burlington. not impressed
