Kingsley Primary School is a school with a great big heart!
I was a student at Kingsley from 2008-2012. During this time they taught me discipline, honesty, respect, and so much more, but the main thing they taught me was the acceptance of myself and others. They taught me that not everyone learns the same way or at the same pace; however, that does not make a student better or worse but just an individual.
The staff of Kingsley have so much love for their students and this is seen in the environment that they create and the students that they produce. Because of this love and admiration that they showed towards me and other students during my four years, I wanted to go back and see where I could show them the appreciation I had for everything they had done.
In doing so, I decided to see if I could volunteer with afterschool care in 2014. I then volunteered with Kingsley as after school care helper, funfair helper or wherever help was needed until 2019.
In total, I was with Kingsley for 9 years, and all I can say Kingsley Primary School is truly a school with a great big heart.
For parents deciding if they should send their child/children Kingsley, all I will say is the things your child/children will learn at Kingsley will benefit them much longer than just their time at Kingsley.

We had such a difficult time at this school, best thing we did was pull our kids out. We picked this school as it was small, and we were assured that our son (who does have some social issues) would be ok. We started out fine but as the months went on, he was having constant problems with certain kids. We were always asking for them to be separated but we weren’t listened to, and our boy was getting into trouble. I had CAS called on me, apparently there were concerns I couldn’t handle my child. A snotty mother shared a personal conversation with the principal that ended up in the report. Thankfully the case work thought it was ridiculous and closed it. My kids did not like French, the teacher was always yelling at them. They actually refused to go to school on French days. Gym class is the teacher sitting on a chair while kids play with balls. Overall, we were very disappointed in how our boy was treated. Both kids are now thriving as a homeschoolers!

Parents are always asked to partner with this school. Children can be "separated" but is it not better to teach them to accept differences and learn to co-exist? There are no "bad" kids just inappropriate behaviours which are always addressed at the school.

Ontario is also a bi-lingual province with a French curriculum. International students may have difficulties adjusting the the rigorous programming but there is always help. The school advises doing the homework assigned for discipline and mastery in order to succeed. Gym classes are 30 min two times a week. Once the classes have worked on all the class requirements they are awarded "free play" time for 10 to 15 minutes after class in lieu of afternoon recess.

In our experience this school has every child"s best interest at heart and if faced with difficulties the staff and admin will go above and beyond to help parents and ensure that the students feel welcome and belong.

Kingsley Primary School came highly recommended to us by another parent whose children were enrolled at Kingsley. Our son has been attending Kingsley for the past four years. We have been very happy with the small class sizes and highly skilled and dedicated teaching staff. The nurturing environment at Kingsley fosters a love of learning and respect for others. Kingsley Primary School offers a family oriented down-to-earth private school alternative to the public school system. Not only has Kingsley provided a solid academic foundation during our son's primary school years, it has also helped to solidify the building blocks for an independent, caring and respectful individual.  Kingsley Primary School is truly a great asset to our community.

Our daughter is in Kindergarten at Kingsley and loves going to school every day. She participates in the clubs, brings home books customized to her level, and has a healthy social life with her new friends. The school's size is just right and the teachers are top-notch. If you are looking for a school that treats your child as an individual and has good values, I encourage you to take the tour.

A truly wonderful place to be. The school has a warm intimate setting where teachers have the time to spend with each child. Smaller class sizes ensure that a child is seen and heard every day. Kingsley follows the Minsitry Curriculum so you know your children are getting a quality education and not following made up guidelines. Parents recieve detailed information about what's going on through the Kingsley website, weekly bulletins and monthy newsletters. The staff is approachable and pick-up and drop-off are done in the school not in a parking lot. GREAT place to be, we love it!

This is a wonderful little school, with an amazing heart. The students at Kingsley function as a community of learners who value and respect themselves and each other, and who all know one another by name. There is absolutely no bullying; it is not even an issue. The classes are small, the teachers excellent, and there is open and frequent teacher-parent communciation. We have found that each teacher is uniquely aware of the strengths and needs of each child in the school, and provides the support and challenges to help each child to not only experience success, but to thrive.
As a former elementary school teacher, I am very impressed by, and grateful to the Kingsley community for providing such a wonderful learning environment for our son. He loves Kingsley, and so do we!

We have been with Kingsley for six years with both our daughters. I feel so fortunate to have found a school that provides such a wonderful mix of education, fun, and character development that was affordable and not pretentious. Our oldest daughter has transitioned to public school with focus and a love of learning thanks to Kingsley!

We have had our 3 children all attend and graduate from Kingsley and highly recommend this school to all parents with children living in West Toronto. Kingsley has provided our children not just with a great education, but with a solid foundation of respect and caring to carry them through those challenging teen years. The teachers and principal are simply tremendous. This is the best kept secret in Etobicoke.

Great school and excellent teachers! My son loves the school. We have tried the Montessori system before and were absolutely not happy. The methodology applied by Kingsley (Haim Ginott) is far more efficient for small children. The class sizes being small, allow kids a better learning progress than in over sized classrooms.

This school is a gem! Our daughter just completed JK and had an amazing year. Because the school is so small it feels like a family. The teachers (classroom, music and french) are great teachers and obviously love what they do. They also have the luxury of being able to provide a lot of individual help and enrichment to each child since the classes are small. Socially, there is a respectful, positive, confident atmosphere and the children are very happy there and treat each other well. The academics are very strong and creativity is always modeled and encouraged. Fantastic!

Our grandaughter goes to this school and she just loves it. The teachers are great, the classes are small and all the children seem happy to be there. There is lots of communication between the parent and the teacher and they don't brush you off if you want to discuss anything. This is a really nice school and affordable. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for an alternative to public school with large classroom sizes.

I went to Kingsley a number of years ago and found it to be a great school. the teachers really cared about student success and there was plenty of opportunity for individual attention becuase the classes are kept to about 10 students. The school has a nice atmosphere where kids in all grades interact in a good way.
