I (David Fowler) have been involved in the valuation and appraisal of farm real estate since my graduation from the Illinois State University Agriculture Department in 1978. I obtained my Illinois State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license in 1995. Membership in the Illinois Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers as well as the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers provide quality continuing education programs geared specifically to the Agricultural appraiser as well as an extensive network of very capable and competent appraisers to share ideas with. I attend as many farm sales as possible to stay current with the valuation trends in northern and central Illinois.
