Audrey's Costume House, Kingston Reviews (4)
Just had an off-season costume party so thought it might be hard to find what I needed, but this store has everything. The lady at the front counter was very helpful too.
Love this store in Kingston.....I've always had amazing service! The staff go above and beyond to help get what you need. Where else can you get everything from dance wear to costumes.
My wife, myself and our 6 yr old son attended the kingston store of Audrey's Costume House oin Sunday the 6th of Oct 3013 at 4pm. We decided to support a local business and spend a little extra for a halloween costume for our son as opposed to hitting walmart and buying junk.
Despite having to duck, dodge, and avoid, we managed to rummage through the heaps of overloaded clothes racks to find a cute $60 evil cowboy outfit and decided to add a little $10 gun to the outfit.
We left the shop and went across the street for some school clothes purchases. While my wife was inside the clothing store my son wanted to see the little plastic gun. I opened the pkg which was sealed and removed the little gun. It did not "click" and the little trigger did not move. We noticed a piece was missing as well.
We drove back across the street to Audreys Costume House to exchange the little gun for one that worked.
We were met by two female employees who treated us like villans about the return. We explained the situation and said if it was a dollar store gun we wouldnt bother but it was a $10 little gun and it was the principal. The two ladies were rude and their interogations were less than thrilling. They attempted to blame our child for the mishap despite it being handled by myself.
I was astonished that a store front with a good reputation would stoop to this type of poor customer service and scare away future costomers over a $10 accessory we added to a $60 dollar childs costume.
It will be walmart next year.
