Phoenix Concert Theatre, Toronto Reviews (2)
I had purchased two tickets to see a show taking place at the Phoenix Concert Theatre. After waiting with my girlfriend in a very long ticket check line up I had a very insulting, bossy and out of context comment made to me by the man checking my ID and tickets.
I was a few feet ahead, being a gentleman and no threat to security at all waiting for my girlfriend to get through id check. The man had yelled out "hey buddy! keep moving! Nobody is gonna steal your girlfriend from you." I had replied "I'm not your buddy, and don't talk to me like that about my girlfriend."
After I had said that, this idiot decided to start a shoving match with me. The whole time saying "don't you ever disrespect me!!" But it's okay for him to disrespect others? In the end security had demanded that I not be allowed back at the phoenix that night and my concert tickets had gone to waste. Me and my girlfriend did not get to see the concert because of this idiot.
After all of this I had decided to contact the pheonix's manager by telephone. He had listened to my case and asked me to call back in 15 minutes. I did so and he then told me that there was nothing he could do for me. I was outraged. I was assaulted by one of their employees and a manager tells me that there's nothing they can do? There is even video survelance cameras. I had asked him to look the security videos which would clearly show I had been assaulted for no good reason. He just shrugged it off.
Sounds like a matter for the police doesn't it?

Phoenix is a rare and unique place for those to party and listen to live concerts within the city. Rare gem in the east end of downtown Toronto!
