Did not leave my package at my door, which I paid for delivery, then brought the package to their drop off centre which is located 1 hour away from my house!
0 emails sent to tell me this and NO notification left on my door telling me where I can pick up my package that I PAID FOR TO BE DELIVERED! So did they even come to my house? Furious I needed this package today. Will NEVER order from a company that uses Purolator again

I have just received two fairly heavy boxes. I live in an apartment building. Whoever delivered these 2 boxes did NOT ring my apartment and left them both in between doors, not even in lobby... anyone could have taken these boxes. Luckily, I was home... because I got a voice mail from said person to tell me he left boxes "downstairs" . This service from Purolator is awful. I have never had this happen before but I will let the company who uses you about what happened and ask them to find another company with better values!

I had a portable air conditioner picked up which I had help to place on the front porch. We were very careful due to the packaging. The entire top of the box lifts off when not secured. We left a note taped to the top of the box to inform the driver that he must secure the package before lifting it off the porch. He ignored the note and I warned him that some of the contents could spill out if he didn't secure the top to the bottom with bands or whatever they use. He went to his truck and got a roll of tape. Lifted the box onto the ground without securing even one corner. He laid it on the ground to tape the bottom to the top. Not with bands but with tape. He was pretty rough with it. Got it onto a fridge cart and rolled it to his truck where he had to manually lift it into his truck. As he did so he laid it on its side and pushed it further into the truck. If that was my merchandise handled is such a careless way I would object and maybe try some other delivery service provider. And as seems to be the norm these days, you cannot get a warm body to answer the phone. So disappointed. People need jobs. Hire a Canadian to answer the phone and provide service and peace of mind to your potential customers. I want to add that to get the top back onto the bottom of the box he just pounded on the four corners. Shaking my head. Is this the best we can do? I gave them 2 stars just for showing up in only about four hours of a possible eight hour wait.

I received a damaged package with one of the goods inside damaged as well. The box and package are crushed. Inside the envelope was a small lettering brush that was broken. Just the fact that your driver and anyone else who touched that package thought it was good to deliver is a joke!!

And to top it off, I paid $31 for that top notch delivery! This is your promise from your homepage: Purolator will deliver your shipment safely and on time, within Canada or to the U.S. and international destinations. Just tell us where and when and we'll do the rest.*

I will never use or let anyone I purchase from use your service again.

So I order a shipment which weighs 6lbs aka a really expensive pair of shoes. And somebody from this location decides to cut open the box and retape it and send it to me. I lift the box there was nothing in it. Absolutel great service lol. Anonymous is watching you. we do not forgive and we don't not forget

I was waiting for my parcel #330842479355 , supposedly the courier came , didnt hear anything. The parcel was left by the door according to purolator. Unfortunately there was nothing, now i dont have my cash or my parcel as according to Zara the carrier is responsible not them !

July 22, 2016. Tracking said package left. I was home. The bell did not ring, no knock. No package was left. Now I have the enjoyment of a claim to Purolator and a case opened at the Bay. Drivers do not even knock on door. They fill out door slip in truck and put on door. Slip says 11:30am, I was home alone reading the newspaper, my dog did not even bark. Second time this has happened. Such bad service.

While reading the reviews, I’m glad to see that Purolator is at least consistent with their lack of customer service. Needless to say I am currently not their biggest fan. I checked my tracking online which stated the day of delivery and took the entire day off because I knew it was a larger package and the delivery guy might need a hand. I signed up for the email notification as to be kept up to date with tracking info. At shortly after 11 I got notification that the package didn’t make it on the truck, I called the 1-888-744-7123 number and spoke to a very nice woman who was extremely helpful, I explained my being upset that I had took the day off and she sympathized with me stated they would try again tomorrow and took my number down to forward it to the driver to call me to try and narrow down the window within 4 hours so I didn’t have to waste another day off work. The next day I left work 4 hours early because I didn’t receive a call but I figured those 4 hours were within their delivery time and online tracking stated it was out for delivery. The Purolator truck pulled up to my building (which I saw from my balcony) so I went to meet them in the lobby. As I got to the lobby the truck was just parking but no one came out. I assumed the driver was getting paper work ready but just than I get a notification that delivery was attempted on my phone. He didn’t even get out of the truck!, I started to walk towards the truck to wave him down and he took off down the street. At this point I was extremely upset so I called the 1-888 number again to try and contact them to send the driver back and the gentleman on the phone stated “well sir it’s not our policy and they can try again tomorrow” I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor but he stated that everyone was on the same level. He proceeded to state he will look into it and call me back in a few mins. 2 hours later I finally call again and demanded to speak to a supervisor, I apologised to the nice woman who answered the phone for sounding upset (as you can imagine). A guy by the name of Daniel answered and I had the tell the entire story to, and explained how I didn’t have means of picking up the package and only request that the package be delivered as it originally should have, he stated he would look into the matter and stated he would call me back shortly. He stated he works until 7 and would call me back beforehand, but sure enough no call back with in the 2 hours and to add insult to injury I get a notification stating my package is ready for local pickup. Worst service I have ever received from any company and giving them a 1 star would be too gracious of me. I work in the customer service industry and am not easily upset by minor shortcomings and deal with people who over react for no reason, but this was pathetic. By the way it is the next day and I still haven’t heard back from them.

Package was picked up on July 2 and was in Windsor Depot 2 days later. Upon contacting Purolator via the online chat they have on their web-site, they informed me that they had made 3 attempts to deliver the package. I explained to them that is impossible because usually when there is a drop off attempt made they leave a sticker on your door saying that they were there and where you can pick up the package and time you can pick it up. On none of those drop off attempts was this left.

I also explained to them that in the past I have 4 other businesses that have always accepted the package and signed for it. The lady I spoke to didn't seem to care about any of this and didn't even explain to me why a sticker wasn't left on my door.

So now I am forced to go pick up the package at their depot site. Which totally interrupts my day at work. Overall, my impression of this company is the their customer service is lacking and also their drivers are NOT doing their job and saying that they are. Obviously, based on other reviews this must be the case.

I agree with the other reviews - USE UPS... I never have a problem with them.

I have been tracking a package shipped ground all week from BC. Was expecting it to arrive today. Checked the shipping number online and saw that it arrived in Windsor around 6:30 this morning. Checked again around 9:30 and saw that the package would not be delivered due to incomplete address. Called and confirmed address, said sorry. In addition to the shipping charge I was charged $5 shipping/gas fee and $3 signature fee only to have to drive into Windsor myself and pick up the package. Never ever have this problem with UPS!

I was on hold with the 1-888-744-7123 for over 1/2 hour with nothing happening on the other end. I called the office in Windsor and you have to go on the web site or call the 1-888 number. Well, after just waiting and putting in all kinds of letters to contact someone (a person), I did get hold of someone. They say I cannot pick up the package unless it is signed for and I have proper ID. This person is out of town at the moment and I am about to find out if they can do anything for me?? Hey...they will re-deliver it, give me a call beforehand so I can be home to receive the package. After all the bad reviews, I am glad to put in one that is more positive. They should DEFINITELY change the way you communicate with them. Waiting on hold with no music and no one saying "Your call is important to us, please stay on the line and your call will be answered as soon as an operator is available" is rude in my opinion. Come on Purolator, you have been in business long enough to know that better service will keep you in business.

Purolator has delivered to our office before and we do have an account. This is not the first time i have tracked a package only to read that we were not available to receive. Nothing could be furthur from the truth. The office is open from 7am to 430pm Monday to Friday, no exceptions. We have a large sign at the road which identifies our location. You simply can't even call the local office to talk to anyone. Amazingly though, the UPS driver can always find our door.

I use this company every single day to do shipments, provide them with upwards to $1000.00 per month, and do everything properly with no hassle on their end.

The other day I make 3 shipments, at 2:30 (my pick up time was set to 4pm) At 4:20 I call because nothing has been picked up yet. When I speak to the customer service rep, she is no help; so I ask to be transferred to a Manager.
This is where my frustration comes in....

Not only would this "Manager" not let me get two words in, when I was finally able to explain what was going on, she called me a liar.

Telling me that my 3 boxes had already been picked up, yet the three tracking numbers that I gave her did not match to the ones that were picked up.

She was of no help to me, she didn't even try to resolve the situation. Instead she made it my fault, and called me a liar?!

How are you a Manager? How are you there for your customer? How are you seriously employed?!?!

Even our regular delivery driver is a grump.

UPS on the other hand, although a little more expensive; it's worth the extra money for the relationship I have with our guy. He comes every day at 4pm just to check and see if we have anything, and to chat with me a bit.

Purolator- You need to take a lesson from this guy.

I wish I could give two separate ratings. One for the driver, and one for their customer service.
I would rate their driver maybe a 2 or 1 star. He delivered my package to the wrong address, my neighbours house. And I've been home all day waiting for mail(Lame, I know), and never saw a delivery guy. Hes either a ninja or invisible. He wrote down he came by at 10am, but I only saw a notification on my neighbours door at around 1, when I came back from SubWay.
I called the company, and the woman on the phone was extremely helpful, and has marked it so my package gets redelivered for Monday. She was friendly, and helpful.
She gets 5 stars.

I'll be waiting delivery man, I'll be waiting all of Monday for you. Please deliver it to the correct address this time, :)

I agree, this delivery service is like no service at all - you end up picking up your delivery by yourself anyway. There is noone at Windsor office to call, no last name on your delivery slip, which sucks!!!, no option to speak on the phone to the anyone other that automated service.
I missed my delivery today just by 4 minutes, so I faxed the message to the Windsor office asking to call me back ASAP, because this driver was still in my area, but not a chance.
There is probably nobody there, why bother with setting up the
phone there and trying to make impression that someone actually works here??? It is most annoying and frustrating. Also your toll free number sucks - you can't even enter from the phone your package number, if there are any letters in it - voice recognition does NOT work, delivery is not delivered, there is noone to call, and if you want your delivery you stuck at home for 24 hrs!
I hope you guys will lose the Dell contract to somebody else, it's about time, you got 1 star from me for having your address listed at the delivery slip, but in fact you should get half of it.

The drivers for the mall are rude, inconsistent and seem to forget they are being paid for their service. Don't bother trying to contact their direct supervisors here at the Windsor Depot... You will be on the phone all day.

You should offer more cohesive timing arrangements for drop off and pick up.

People who use your service tend to do so because they have no way of obtaining said product through their own means. (no car, ect)

Making a trip up to the Purolator store is inconvenient being as it is at the other end of town. Because my package arrived on a Friday the window where I am allowed to get my package before Monday is only 1 hour…. This is complete horse shit…. I need the package I ordered today! Also calling into your company makes you feel like a real person.( “call Purolator so you can feel like a complete idiot while taking to one of our representatives”)

If you are unable to pick up a package, Purolator can offer a redelivery free of charge. Alternatively, transferring the package to a closer location may also be an option. If no one is home to accept a package, then opting for a Signature Not Required arrangement is also possible. This can be done on a single shipment basis (http://www.purolator.com/pdf/SNR_single.pdf) or on a permanent basis (http://www.purolator.com/pdf/SNR_multiple.pdf).

I order parts from NCIX, TigerDirect, DirectCanada, and Newegg all the time and Purolator has never ONCE knocked on the door. They simply put a "receiver not available" sticker without even knocking.

I even tried having it shipped to another address and they did the exact same thing. God I hate Purolator... Might as well just have it shipped to their drop off depot every time since that's where it's inevitably going to end up...

Driver did not knock. I do not drive, walk with a walker, so trying to get to the location by bus is not possible.l Could not read the hand printing so have no idea of the tracking number. Unable to reach a person on the phone so had to call the 888 number and was put on hold for 20 minutes. I will recommend that my employer "The University of Windsor" to never use this service.

I was supposed to get my package today from my parents. I left for work at 4:50 pm and there was nothing. I got home from work at 12:30 am and there was a sticker on my door saying they were here at 4:42 pm. I don't think so. And now they want me to make the hike over there to pick it up myself when I have no vehicle and paid for them to bring it here, and they say to get it after 6 pm, but I start work at 5 pm everyday. Not to mention their location is the most inconvenient spot in this entire city. If I want to get it, I'm going to have to leave at 1 pm on the bus, and I won't get home until 4:30 pm. Getting a package shouldn't take 3 1/3 hours when it's in the same city!!!

Trying to get a hold of anyone is useless. Can't deliver on-time? They should just close the doors, as that is what they are doing to others. I WILL NEVER, EVER, USE THEM AGAIN!!! YOU SUCK!

To not trust this company. You will staying for your package/envelope for all day. End of the day if you track your shipment on their web, you will see on the attempted delivery receiver nor available. Though you stayed home to receive your package!!!!
