I received a message from Purolator June 14 , that I have a package there ready for pick up. Last 3 days ago, June 21, I called them to hold it for me if it is still there, (because I know that they will return it to the sender if did not pick up for 5 days) and I promise to pick it up the next day after my work. The lady on the phone told me there's no problem, it's still sitting there and she will leave a note that I ill pick it up the next day. So, after work yesterday, I went there to pick up my package. I was so surprise, the agent told me they sent to Michaels 840 St. James St. last June 14. How come that they did not informed me that they sent it there, and take note before I went there, I called them and they said it's still there at purolator sargent waiting for pick up. Not once but twice already that they did these! Poor sevice! I payed for the shipping fee to delivered at home. But when I asked why they did not delivered at my apartment, they said they don't have key to get in on my apartment, so?????? I have phone number on the package why the delivery guy never called me if it's the case? Once they knew that it is an apartment they will send it back to purolator office. Nor they don't leave a notice, or informed me that they sent it to Michaels! Waste of time! Poor customer service! I have a regular package that comes to me twice a month, I told the company sender not to use this courier anymore as it gives me headache!!!

I own a business and some of our vendors use Purolator to ship to us. As of today that is the end of that. I am demanding another shipper as Purolator cannot deliver anything as required and paid for. This has been the only thing consistent with them is their inability to perform tasks as paid for.

Totally useless
My daughter sent a package to me from Edmonton, depot there accepted a PO Box number as an address, I know from personal and corporate experience any courier shipping agent on the ball NEVER accepts a non-physical address. Anyways my daughter corrected this a few days after shipping and was promised next day delivery to my home near Selkirk Manitoba. The package never came. That night I made a call to purolator voice mail hell and finally talked to an agent, a very unsatisfactory experience although he too guaranteed next day service. I told him I would be out of town and asked if the package would be left at he door. He told me all I needed to do was leave a note. I had asked to speak to a supervisor but was refused.. So I did. Had a friend check that next night... no package only a delivery slip.I get a voice mail the next day saying the package would only be held in Winnipeg 5 days (remember I had already explained I would be out of town a week) I called the number on the voice mails and after a half hour of explaining my situation and dissatisfaction, with a language challenged agent thought I had arranged to pick up the package at the Winnipeg depot this coming Friday. NOTE that the delivery agent had also put the wrong tracking number on the slip that was left in my door so I had to go back to my daughter's original text to locate the correct number. Yesterday I checked my voice mail to get a message from the Winnipeg detail asking for a correct Physical address to arrange delivery (recall the physical address had been corrected a week ago and they actually had it in hand on my porch once). So I call call center hell again, remaining calm but dissatisfied and the woman actually starts interrupting and raising her voice at me. She is the first to explain a note on the door requesting drop off will be rejected if it doesn't have the proper info and signature "Purolator please leave my package" doesn't cut it!!!... so now its my fault!! I finally speak to a supervisor who takes a complaint , gives me a record number and tells me someone will call me... but assures me my package will be at the depot when I get to Winnipeg this Friday... two weeks late.... I have no faith I will ever see this...
Purolator has lost two other packages for me this past year. Rest assured my family and friends and corporation know now to avoid their services at all times.

Hello RUDDY6,

I am very sorry to hear about your recent experienced.

If the retail employee notice that a pobox is provided as the delivery address, they should in deed not accept it. Please note that it is also written directly on the label to warn the shipper of this policy, as well.

Please send me the tracking number along with the phone number used to call our contact center. I would like to follow up on these incidents and pull the conversation record, since you mentioned that the agent refused to escalate the call and that another agent’s behavior was unprofessional.

Customer service is a priority for us and we take feedback like this one very seriously.

Regards,

Catherine

Ok... So last week I get a call from purolator, Winnipeg on another parcel that has my PO Box, requesting physical address. This one can be blamed on government of Ontario as I had ordered a replacement birth certificate and in the process provided both physical and mailing address, they opted to use the mailing address but sent it courier. Anyways, I explain that I will be out of the country until May 2 and could they delay delivery until then. The woman agreed. I clarified what needed to be on the note that I would leave in the door to ensure the package would be left if it came while i was at the office. I was told signature date and clear instructions.... Fine!!
Remember above I was told just to leave a note...no details or specifics of what needed to be on the note were given to me.... my note was insufficient and the parcel was not left. I was out of town for a week following the missed delivery and somewhat berated by an agent when I called to inquire why the delivery guy didn't leave it was told the note had to be specific or delivery folks wont leave parcels...
Anyways I get home on April 30 to find the package in my door and clearly marked by someone Do not deliver until May 2 (as per my request).... and this time it was left without any note on the door at all.....and prior to the date I requested.

clearly the right hand and left hand are disconnected here....

And by the way no one has called to respond to my complaint logged two weeks ago... and note that the customer care person that responded so nicely to this thread left NO direct contact info....I guess I could call the call center..... NOT!!!

Seriously these guys have no idea what they are doing. Delivered to wrong address and even got the signature from them and the other day they went back to get the parcel back.

These people are to deliver your packages and not waist time thinking of excuses how not to or to have the person come pick it up. Twice they have not delivered in the past and lied saying they tried several times to contact us and leave notices. This time, I waited the whole day for a delivery but they missed to deliver the package. It was a complete waist of a day. Don't use them. It seems that this is the norm nowadays how to treat customers. Time to put these places out of business by not giving them any business.
P.S. 1/2 a star is being too generous.

Expected delivery date was Dec 2. I took the day off to make sure I can sign for my package, after 3:00pm my tracking status changed to "Delayed due to missed delivery" and will be delivered tomorrow instead. The customer service line was helpful in providing alternatives but still a waste of time if packages are not delivered on given estimate dates.

Tracking number shows on vehicle for deliver at 805am on May 30th in Winnipeg. Now Saturday afternoon and tracking info says same thing. Phoned the call centre and they have no idea where the package is. My guess, the driver took it home!! How does a package just disappear???

They leave no message that an attempt was made to deliver a parcel, have a computer phone you that does not respond when answered and then finally gives you a message on the last day with a long number assuming you have a pen and paper in hand.

Try and talk to someone about a delivery problem in Winnipeg and you end up in some call center......Like you can get a satisfactory response from a call center in Toronto when the problem is in Winnpeg...wonderful customer service.

My son ended up in Winnipeg with nothing and nowhere to stay (long story). I shipped him his winter coat, hat, winter pants to the Purolator outlet closest to his shelter (1935 Sargent) in a box marked 'hold for pickup' no signature required. He walked over 6 kilometres to get there. He was turned away because he didn't have proper I.D. (it was stolen). This is December.

I live in the country, and the town I live in has a Purolator drop-off depot. Purolator was to deliver a parcel to my door on Thurs.Jan.27/11.My daughter was home to receive it, as my wife & I had to be away momentarily. When we got home, there was a Purolator form on our counter, left by our daughter, which said,"We missed you", stating the time of "arrival". No Parcel. How hard did the driver try??
Next day I went on line and the tracking info. said next delivery would be MONDAY! Yet the Depot in town got some deliveries on FRIDAY! But mine wasn't in it. I couldn't get hold of any Purolater person to get any satisfaction. So I waited until Monday.
Now this is Monday. I checked the tracking info again, and now they tell me it wasn't "Dispatched" today either; not until Tuesday!!!! What's going on??? What kind of one-horse operation are they running anyway? Hire a TAxi instead, or someone on a snowmobile!!

My wife and i ordered costumes with a one to two day delivery which we paid an extra 30$ for.
Ups delivered it on time and had Purolator take it the rest of the way.
We tracked it into the city at 7:58 am the first day and around 4 that day called the tracking number. They told us between 9am and 7 pm the next day. Still within the 2 day timeline.
at noon my wife who had taken the day off for this saw a purolator van pull up a the front of our drive way. stop turn around and drive to the secon drivway of ours. Then he stopped, didn't get out and drove away!
Since then we have been on the phone for the afternoon getting the runaround from puroltor who says. They are trying to get a hold of the driver!
How are they doing it with the day and age of cell phones, two way radios and gps satellites.
My guess is they are waiting for him to pull up to a telephone pole and use morse code to check in.
They aren't even trying... now they say best guess is tommorow!
and best of all i was instructed to get my 30$ reimburcement from the company i orderd it from!

They did they're job, Ups did they'res, waiting on this one.

Save your money. Get a Taxi to deliver it... or have it brought by a pizza place, least then you can eat with your package!
