The worst service I have ever had. The front counter girl should be fired.Said my parcel was not there but tracker said it was. She was rude and very unprofessional. I don't know how they stay in business. HORRIBLE
Attempted to use this company twice in one week. They didn't have a box to fit my parcel on either occasion. Doesn't give you much confidence when they can't get their own boxes delivered.
Enquiries were met with blank stares and no suggestions. And that was the supervisor.
Avoid at all costs.
Went down the road to UPS, paid $30 more and it was worth every penny.
The young lady was so helpful, gave me packing materials for free and helped me pack it.
Top notch.

I am expecting 2 packages from the US and was quite surprised to see that they are now available for me to pickup. WHERE? It seems to be a secret where they now have my packages.
BTW, I thought the standard was 3 attempts. Well they sort of did that with the first one and recorded 3 delivery attempts on the same day. The second package they did not even do that, just one attempt and I can come and get it.
To make matters worse, a search for Purlator in Nanaimo shows 2 locations, which is not a problem, BUT you cannot phone and find which one to go to.
The Courier business used to based on customer service. Note that yesterday I received a package via UPS and another one from Staples. Purolator seems to have their priorities messed up.

Couldn't find our house, couldn't contact us, couldn't be bothered doing anything. Supposed to deliver on Monday, now it's Friday. UPS needs to dump these bozos as a transfer agent.

Unbelievable!! The worst contact information and phone reception ever. Only in Canada!....this service would put them out of business in the USA. They need some competition, but few other couriers offer longer distance service.
Worst customer service I experienced. They are too stupid to locate me in several attempts , even though they had the correct address given 3 times. (Confirmation of correct address 3 times by phone - just to make sure...) . Internet tracking says they couldnt locate me (because I moved! Oh wow, did I ??) , but I was sitting in front of my yard whole day - havent seen a single trace of any Purolator truck.
Calling the call center in New Brunswick is a waste of time and money, they just dont care, although they try to be nice and friendly, but it makes more sense to call your pet and try to talk to them, same clue of nothing.
The telephone provided for Nanaimo/BC is the wrong #, somebody else answers the phone and says that they have this # since more than 5 years. Its all about ripping people off with expensive shipping rates but no service at all. They just dont care.

Rochelle was nice and helped me to the end to get my parcel and apple made it up to me by paying for my gas to get it. something happened to the drive. these things happen... thank you
They were literally 25 minutes away, but still for some reason, couldn't even try and deliver it until next day, even though it said "On vehicle for delivery via" then I found out by delivery they meant I had to drive TO THEM to pick it up.
Also I know they don't ship on weekends, but I ordered my product on a Thursday and they STILL didn't deliver until Monday at the start of next week...
Worst delivery service I've used, I suggest avoiding them if it is at all possible. They are little for their customers, and offer no real support, reimbursement, or reconciliation when they make mistakes.

Worst service ever, they lost my UPS package because they were not able to open up the packing slip on the shipment and shipped it around for 4 days, from Richmont to Nanaimo and back, declaring the address incomplete. We still don`t know where the shipment is right now, the UPS tracking number does not seem to agree with Purolator and they don`t seem to provide their own number. who knows if and when the shipment will finally arrive.Don`t use Purolator again.

was given deliv status by apple as thru ups. adv wanted to pick up on sat. was told impossible until at failed delivery, asked agent to put on notation to hold in purolator and notify me when i could pick it up. was advised sat was too early, to leave till this week. did not receive ANY notification, and now tracking # advised me it has been "refused and sent back to sender" can no one read instructions? is there no one with the ability to look at a document and call the number, or leave a delivery notice, OR, hold the item as requested without returning it within 1 day of telling me it is too soon to pick it up as it has not yet been turned over to them. Ugh.

When you call back they give u a run around and again ask for personal information, my parcel was not delivered at the same time as expected the next day had to wait by door and hold phone for call back 3 hours, no courtesy call to customers on urgent delivery. Your drivers need to find another job. I had to cancel my appt.for later that morning due to the wait. Time is money tell your staff . A pigeon could have done a better job.

I will make this long story short.
- Ordered a new iphone form Apple
- Apple shipped to the wrong address (they got one digit wrong)
- Puralator driver couldnt find our house (cause the address doenst exist)
- Rather than phone us, or look in the phone book, they returned it to the Nanaimo depot (we are in Cumberland)
- It sat there for a week. Nobody tried contacting us
- We finally checked the tracking status, to see that it said "attempting to find address" (we are listed in the phone book, would have been EASY to find the correct address)
- We called, and that day they were going to ship it back to Apple!! Now they are holding it
- They would not do a change of address. They are telling us WE must drive to Nanaimo (about an hour away) and pick it up at their depot
- They would NOT tell us where the depot is!!! We are waiting for a call from someone to tell us when and where to pick it up.

When you call the Purolator office in Nanaimo, the phone rings once and then goes dead. What does that tell you about the level of customer service there?
if you can avoid it, DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. Customer service is basically non-existent-they will do or say anything to squirm out of taking responsibility for their screw-ups which are numerous. Nothing is ever their faul and they never apologize..They hire barely literate people in their warehouse for minimum wage, which is partly why we get (or don't get) the service we do.
I have dealt with the old Loomis (now DHL - Total - whatever), Fed-ex, UPS and Purolator. Purolator is the best of the bunch! My driver is awesome, and the Staff at the office on Boxwood are friendly, fun and always helpful.
I have been picking up and sending parcels through this location for about two years now and have ALWAYS had great service that goes above and beyond. All I can say to the poor reviews is that you get more flies with honey than vinegar. The staff always do their best, and of course once in a while there is a situation beyond their control, however they remain professional and sincere. I highly reccomend Purolator Nanaimo, they rock!

Been using Purolator for years, and have nothing negative to say. The have always been prompt, helpful and polite. A1 service for me.
Purolator is the worst company in the world! I will never ever deal with them again! After paying through the nose to make sure my pkg arrives at the desired destination at a certain time and date, lo a behold there is no record of it...WHAT??!! I can't believe it! I will never deal with Purolator ever again and neither will my company. Fed Ex has just gotten a new customer.

Living in a few big cities and dealing with a variety of companies, if they can get it right, how the hell does a company with such a centralized customer base manage to get it WRONG time and time again?
I avoid the Purolator if possible but sometimes my customers choose to use them or UPS (which for some reason has contracted Purolator Nanaimo) even though I try to persuade them otherwise...

This is by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I called them to see if my package was there (after UPS left two messages for them to call me, which they never did). They then told me that they didn't know if it was or not and that I had to call UPS to find out. I have spent two hours on the phone and UPS and purilatory are both completely useless. My package has been their since the 16th of Dec and it is now Jan 5. At this point I want to tell them to take it and shove it up their ass.
