I have been using National Courier Services for a couple of years now. They always provide fast courteous service. I would definately recommend National Courier Services to anyone looking for transportation of any kind within Edmonton and surrounding areas as well as Calgary. They handle anything from small packages to full trailer loads at a very competive price and the customer service has always been top notch.

I had arranged for National Courier to do a weekly run at the same time for pickup and delivery every week. For 4 weeks I was given the following excuses for why they couldn't deliver my package.

Week 1 - vehicle broke down
Week 2 - vehicle broke down
Week 3 - couldn't find pickup location
Week 4 - Dog in the yard. (pickup was attempted 6 hours after scheduled pickup time and the facility was closed)

Each week I called not only before the shipment pickup but after the delivery time. I was met with conempt. Before the 4th week of attempted pickup I talked to Pam the office manager who assured me if she told them to take care of the delivery they would.

I did manage to get delivery the next day on the fourth attempt but they demanded extra charges as the delivery was not on the time they had agreed on. I did not pay the extra charges but they left the delivery with me.

I received a call back the next day saying they would no longer provide courier service for me. Not from Pam but from someone in the office. I asked if they could make one more attempt and they said no. "Thier drivers won't do that pick up, they don't care."

I have left a message requesting Pam call me back. She has not.

Do not use this company for anything EVER. They lie, fail to provide courier service and will end up costing you time, labor, and will lose you customers as they will tell you something is on the way when they haven't even picked it up.

They will attempt to gouge you for extra charges at the time of delivery.

Unless I hear back from Pam (I sincerly doubt it) I will not let anyone working for National Courier anywhere near my stores and reiterate to anyone using a courier service. Than National Courier is nothing more than organized robber barons with no sense of integrity.

I am the President of National Courier and I find it absolutely abhorrent that anyone can post these sorts of fabrications and falsehoods without any accountability whatsoever. If it had not been for one of my staff stumbling across this site and seeing the review we would have never known about it. I would think that in the interests of "fairplay", this site should at least tell an organization that a negative review has been posted and give the company the opportunity to respond but apparently it's OK for anyone to say anything about anybody without any recourse at all, even lies and slanderous accusations. We have been in business for almost 38 years and rest assured, we have not survived that long by lying to our customers. Regarding this idiot's accusations, I will most definitely be speaking with our legal counsel to discuss lawsuits for slander. That said, these deliveries were to a private home on an acreage and our drivers were TWICE attacked by a dog when attempting deliveries. I was also present when the call was made to Gamerslair (or is it GamersLIAR?) indicating that we would no longer do this delivery because of the dog situation and the staff member who made the call was at all times conducting themselves with the utmost in professionalism and integrity.....I do not ever let my staff treat customers in any other way. The reason we asked for extra charges is because this customer then wanted us to attempt deliveries at certain set times of the day (usually early in the AM) and as any courier service in the world does, we charge extra for guaranteed early deliveries. Anyone is more than welcome to phone me personally to discuss any service concerns and I would welcome that opportunity at any time. I doubt this clown would do that because people like that usually have no spine and LOVE to hide behind the cloak of anonymity. We will soon see how he enjoys the public forum of a courtroom and slander lawsuit. We have a 38 year track record of good business, integrity and professionalism behind us. Based on this sort of garbage, GamersLIAR appears to be just another fly-by-night organization that will be here today and gone tomorrow. As much as I am concerned about this kind of review about us floating around out there, I also realize the source and understand that we will be around long after the bankruptcy proceedings for GamersLIAR are a distant memory. Govern yourselves accordingly when dealing with idiots like this.....we had a bad feeling about this business right from the start and it appears our concerns were certainly more than justified. These places come and go like the wind and they are usually staffed with people who like playing video games all day and have no concept of how to function in the real world or run a business....they will be long gone shortly, of that there is no doubt.
