History of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM is also called simplified traditional Chinese medicine. Wikipedia says, TCM is a style of traditional medicine based on more than 2500 years of Chinese medical practice that includes various forms of herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage or tui na, exercise or qigong, and dietary therapy, but recently also influenced by modern Western medicine.
Is Traditional Chinese Medicine Safe?
Tai Chi and qi gong, two mind and body practices used in Traditional Chinese Medicine, are generally safe. Some of the herbs used in Chinese medicine can interact with drugs, have serious side effects, or be unsafe for people with certain medical conditions.
Origin of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine originated in ancient China and has evolved over thousands of years. TCM practitioners use herbal medicines and various mind and body practices, such as acupuncture and tai chi, to treat or prevent health issues or problems.

Traditional Chinese Medicine treats a number of issues and approaches treating ailments from a holistic perspective. A variety of symptoms are treatable such as pain, IBS, colitis, infertility, neuropathy, arthritis, insomnia, stress and depression. TCM can treat chronic and/or acute problems as well.
