Visit us today and start enjoying Michigan winters in style.Over 50 years ago, brothers Gordon, Gene and Roger Rantz created Timber Ridge Ski Area in order to enjoy their favorite winter activities with their favorite people. When the ski area opened in 1961, the only lift was a rope tow powered by a 1949 Chevy. Friends and family would pay 50 cents (or a six-pack of beer) to ride the lift.Today, Timber Ridge Ski Area reigns as the premier ski resort in the Gobles, MI area. Thousands of avid and accomplished skiers-including Glenn Plake, Andy Dobbs and Luke and Adam Schrab-have hit the slopes here since the ski resort opened.
