I am a neighbour beside where your crew was paving in Carleton Place this morning and they just left. I want to mention that the dump truck was parked in front of our driveway this morning and my husband had to tell him to move as it’s illegal to block people driveways and I had to get to work. His attitude was “ ya well I can move it at anytime” while he sits in his truck while running and waits for awhile. Then I just came back home to go into my driveway yet again he is parked right in front of it after us telling him he can not park there. I had to stay in the intersection and wait until they loaded the equipment and he casually walks back to the truck with a smirk on his face, no apology, nothing! I do not care if they are loading and unloading there is an entire side of the street not being used beside the park. Funny thing is that we and other neighbours were looking for a company to redo all our driveways and I will be telling them not to bother with your company as common sense and respect is the last thing on your crews agenda for the day. Please tell your truck driver thanks so much for wasting my time and gas!
I woke up this morning to Loretta Paving Co. doing some work across the street from where I live. It is a fairly new neighbourhood, so I was used to the noise and wasn't bothered by it. I was bothered however, by the fact that despite the street having many spots to park, one of Loretta's employees decided to park on my lawn. All four tires, on my lawn. When I went out to ask why, I was rudely asked, "Is it your lawn?", like that makes a difference. After the employee finally moved his vehicle 30 ft down the road, and on the road, I noticed all the garbage they had thrown on my lawn as well. Half-eaten sandwiches, candy bar wrappers, coffee cups, etc., all just laying on my grass. I called the company to express my disappointment, but at this point have yet to hear back. If these people are who wear the Loretta name around Ottawa, I would be very upset if I owned the company.
