PI-TOM'S THAI CUISINE

Every great restaurant has a great chef behind it: A chef who's passionate about creating not just superlative food, but an exceptional dining experience. And at these Toronto Thai restaurants, that person is Sutham (Tom) Luangpitak, affectionately known by his staff and friends as Pi-Tom. Tom grew up in Thailand and vividly remembers his mother's great cooking skills. He was always helping her in the kitchen and when it came time to leave home, he was compelled to follow his calling and open up a restaurant of his own that carried on his mother's legacy of great home-style food. When he moved to Toronto it only made sense that he continue his career in Thai food in Toronto. In 2004 he opened up Pi-Tom's Thai Restaurant in Toronto at Yonge and Alexander Streets. And due to the popularity of the restaurant, he opened a second midtown location in 2006 at Yonge and Davisville.
