Everest College - Brampton, Brampton Reviews (1)
I took the Community Service Worker course at Everest back in 2009-10. Would I recommend this place? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
DO NOT give them a penny of your hard-earned money. Here's why:
-Rude Staff
-Teachers who are NOT qualified (Example: Teacher.. She spent more time running in and out of the class getting notes. Totally unprepared. She claimed to have a PhD, but we all thought she got it out of a cereal box.)
-Useless career centre/counsellors
-Our class called this place the "half-knowledge college"
-$12,000+ in tuition (Complete rip-off)
-One or two week modules. (How the heck do you expect to cram Psychology into TWO WEEKS?
-Teacher loved to make you feel inferior
-Teacher would leave the class when you were doing a presentation. How rude and inconsiderate is that?
-Complaints about the teacher, course, and the school in general go unheard. Once they get your $$ they don't give a toss about you.
-During our "exam review" classes, Teacher would not answer our questions but merely write stuff on the board and leave the class and say, "See you tomorrow." (We were supposed to have three, one-hour review classes. They were aprox. 20 minutes at the most.
-Constant changing of the rooms. You have to check a schedule to see what room you are in every day. Sometimes finding the room is a challenge. You can't decide on a room to hold the class for a MONTH at a time?
-Merger of two classes into one. This was a nightmare. We had shouting matches between students, even a fight! The people who were there and actually WANTED to learn were in disbelief. I remember thinking.. $12,000 for this? We had to suffer because one of the teachers suddenly up and quit? That's not our problem/fault.
I have nothing positive to say about Everest College. DO NOT contact them at all. Once they have your phone number or email you will be harassed. Once I found a job (no thanks to Everest) they phoned my employer FIVE times thanking them for hiring an Everest graduate! I had to phone them back to tell them to stop it as it could get me fired!
DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT choose Everest College. It's the biggest scam out there.
