I've been practicing in the mental health field since 2002. Most recently, I worked as Director of Behavioral Health at the North Country Family Health Center in Watertown, New York. I'm a Vermont state licensed psychologist, well-versed in treating many psychological conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, oppositionality and the challenges of parenting difficult children. I also have extensive experience working with military families. I'm trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, which are empirically supported approaches to treating depression, anxiety and trauma. Additionally, I'm well-versed in teaching mindful meditation as a means of stress reduction.I'm excited to create a model of care that integrates behavioral health services directly into the patient workflow. For the patient, this means they can see a psychologist during their appointment with their primary care provider. This can reduce the hardships of travel and taking time away from work, school and family, resulting in a more collaborative and holistic approach to mental health and wellness.I love the outdoors and look forward to gardening, hiking and cross-country skiing.
