FABRICVILLE

I usually don't write reviews but I had a quite unpleasant experience three days ago to the Fredericton store. I was purchasing some padding and fabric to make a cover for an ironing board. I needed 60cm of padding. It was the very end of the roll and was a piece that had previously been cut at an angle so that one side was just under 75cm and the other side was just over 60 cm; a noticeable difference when laid out on the table. I told the person cutting that I needed 60cm, she measured the LONG end and wrote down "75 cm" and did the calculation of cost, looking to charge me for an extra 15 cm I didn't need and that was incomplete at that (I would have been paying for an extra 15 cm when the other side was visibly much shorter). I mentioned this to her and she changed the length on the slip, but didn't recalculate the cost (so she was still trying to charge me for 75cm). She told me I had to pay for the last 15 cm because it was the end of the roll.
After this, I asked for 80cm of fabric. It was a roll that had a minimum purchase of 1m. I was hoping that because of the fact that she was already making me pay for an extra 15 cm of the padding that I didn't need and had been so difficult about the padding that the rules could be bended for the sake of 20cm but she said no. At this point I was so upset with the terrible customer service I simply walked out of the store without the things I needed.
Reconsidering renewing my membership for next year; I'll probably just order online instead.
