MICHEL'S BAGUETTE

The idea of a bakery café selling sandwiches, salads and freshly baked breads and pastries is really nothing new. In 1979, Michael and Lou Bregman opened the first Michel's Baguette at the Toronto Eaton Centre. What made this café different was the premium quality and great selection of pastries, sandwiches and salads. Not only could you smell the pastries but you could see them being baked throughout the day...not just in the morning! In 1994, Michel's Baguette was sold to Richmont Corporation, which was the holding company of Mary Kay Cosmetics out of Dallas, Texas. It wasn't until December 2001, that the company was sold again, but this time to Timothy's World Coffee. Becky McKinnon, Executive Chairman of Timothy's World Coffee knew what a winning combination she would have, not only be able to boast that we sell the freshest coffee, but also that we sell the freshest baked products, salads and sandwiches.
