I originally hired this company, owned and operated by Melvina Hurd, to do a simple pallet wall installation, as was advertised on multiple online platforms. When she arrived (late) for our initial meeting, she claimed that her company would be able to do my entire bar renovation, including custom cabinets, custom shelves, custom lighting, and more. The very short version of a very long story is that this company does not do ANY of this type of work and basically acts as a general contractor that hires out all of the work – meaning you are paying her ridiculously unnecessary upcharge for work she does not do. This was NEVER disclosed to me in any way whatsoever. She specifically told me MANY times that HER company was doing everything.

I am currently suing this unscrupulous and wildly unprofessional individual in small claims court for over six THOUSAND dollars that she was provided strictly as a material deposit that she was supposed to give directly to her sub-contractor to purchase necessary construction materials. She refuses to listen to anything you say, completely ignores your design, runs and hides when you tell her something is wrong, and does not provide a refund after she was fired from the job for not doing ANYTHING at all.

Do not use this company for any purpose and definitely do not give her ANY money in advance. If she claims to need a deposit to purchase materials, have her purchase the materials, deliver to your site, show you a receipt, THEN consider paying for ONLY those materials.
