The origin of the name, which means shadow in Italian, has its roots in a colourful episode of Venetian history. Ombretta Cucina+Vino is an Italian restaurant in Mississauga located on the Lakeshore in the heart of Port Credit. With rustic/modern decor, the space can accommodate 50 guests. Chef/Owners Frank Mazzonetto and Anthony Maniccia, who both have classic culinary training, have tied this vision into the menu theme. From the ‘Bolognese Spring Rolls’ to the ‘Fettuccine Carbonara’, the menu has modern interpretations of classic Italian dishes.
