Peter, Oliver, and Alan did an amazing job with my condo unit remodeling project that involved bathroom and kitchen remodeling, reconfiguring a closet, full painting of the unit, and floor refinishing. They turned a 1990 condo unit into a brand new modern loft. Peter, the GC, was very communicative throughout the project, even when I was out of town for a week. If I needed something adjusted, Oliver and Alan would make the adjustment very promptly. Peter was transparent about the timeline and quotes, but one thing I’d recommend is having every detail written in the proposal, so you are not surprised with any additional expenses. For example, our proposal included “kitchen cabinet installation and bathroom vanity installation”, but they asked for additional $4K after they installed my IKEA cabinets and vanity. I understand that IKEA cabinet assembly can be a pain, but had I been aware of this cost earlier, I would have hired IKEA assembly and installation team for $2.7K. Nevertheless, their overall pricing was very reasonable, and they are one of the friendliest and most professional teams I’ve worked with. They carried out all tasks beautifully. I would definitely consider working with them again for future projects!

Peter and his team do great work! They recently repaired and upgraded our basement and laundry room after a water issue, and a few years ago they replaced several windows for us. They helped us select lighting, design closets and shelves, and redo the layout of our laundry room. Their work is high-quality, they protect the space and clean up after, and they are extremely professional. They even installed a temporary countertop and sink when our countertop was delayed for reasons very much outside of their control (hurricane!). We are so happy with the outcome!

Ever since we had moved into our home, we wanted to have our kitchen redone since it was extremely outdated. We had been looking for a contractor for some time until family friends of ours had recommended Peter and his team. We met with him and he was very friendly and easy to talk to. He gave us different options based on our budget and worked with us to design a more modern, open-concept style kitchen. Peter has been in this industry for some time so he was able to recommend to us plenty of local businesses that specialize in counters, cabinets, cabinet handles, lighting, and tiles, making it easy for us to come up with the type of kitchen we wanted. Throughout the process we were impressed by Peter’s level of communication and expertise, keeping us involved in every aspect of the project, making sure we were happy with him and his team’s work. We can’t thank him and his team enough for how our kitchen turned out and would definitely use him again!

We've used Peter Duffy and his team for a number of projects around our house over the past several years. The biggest one was a complete kitchen renovation (down to the studs in the walls). We've been very happy with the result, as well as with the flexibility and the friendliness of Peter and his workers.

Peter and his team came in and refinished our basement which was absurdly outdated. He was patient in listening to what we were envisioning, working with drawings which I created, and suggesting finishings and features only a seasoned contractor would have thought of. Living in the final product I can't believe we put up with the old version for so many years and wish we had hired Peter sooner. His team was polite, professional, and quickly came up with solutions for all the little problems that arise with any project. Peter managed subcontractors, and when one of them did subpar work he had his team come and redo the work at no charge and no complaint. We were especially pleased with his team's tile work, painting, and built-in bookshelf construction. Peter was generally responsive by email, and always responsive by phone. I've hired them again since then for other projects and wouldn't hesitate to bring them back.

Peter completed an attic finishing project that included adding a sky light, insulation, overhead lights/outlets, framing, sheet rock, paint, hardwood floors, and a built-in bookcase. He provided a competitive price and his team was polite and clean, while staying on time. When a plaster crack emerged after a few months, he stood by his work and had it repaired. While our communication could have been smoother, the project turned out exactly as we would have hoped.

I have used Peter Duffy and his crew for 5 of my renovation jobs on 3 properties I own. Particularly I like that he does not use dumpsters, he takes away all demolition debris each night to a certified disposal and recycling facility. For those of us with limited or no parking and no place to put a dumpster, this is most helpful. He treats his workers with respect and increases their pay rate as they learn new skills. His workers are responsible, competent, hard working, and pleasant, and they do not smoke, play loud music or swear, and his sub contractors have all been similarly effective. I have worked as a renovation architect for 30 years and seen a wide variety of contractors, and Peter Duffy is the best I have seen. Peter is very knowledgable about carpentry and all the associated trades, and he has passed many of his skills on to his foreman who is a gifted carpenter./ builder. Peter charges a fair price for the work they do, and do it as expeditiously as possible. On a kitchen job I had the winter we had 5 ft of snow they kept working by digging their way in each day. I have considerable respect for Duffy and his workers, they work very hard and do a good job with as little disruption as possible so they have my highest recommendation.

We brought in Peter and his team to update our nursery and bathroom as we prepare for a little one. We were extremely impressed by the quality of the work and the effort they took to care for the rest of the house. They put down temporary flooring throughout the house to protect the floors, used a large ventilation fan and vacuums to control dust, and cleaned up the whole path from the door to their working area every day before they left. Very professional and appreciated. The quality of the work was excellent as well. My husband provided Peter rough drawings of our vision for the two projects and Peter and his foreman worked with us to refine them into a beautiful outcome. They helped address any issues that came up and added high quality finishing touches we would not have though of (such as running the bath tile all the way to the floor in front of the tub, see pics). Their tile work is especially excellent. They also built a custom bed frame for the nursery and even used mahogany for it without us asking and at no additional charge. Communications were done by email or in person, although we would have appreciated more regular updates on the daily schedule and work tasks. Overall a five star experience based in quality, cost, and experience. If our new little one tears the walls out, I would definitely have Peter and his team back.
