Great lunch
I go here pretty frequently for their lunch specials. They have good take out sandwiches and also some very nice soups and things. The service is prompt and all the staff are really friendly.

Good takeout
They're often short-staffed and the takeout section is small, but the food is always fresh. Get there early on weekends for fresh breads, bagels and pastries. Mm mm yum!!

Must order a pickle!
I have eaten at Yitz's a million times...they have the best corned beef you've ever tasted. Sometimes I will order it on a kaiser and sometimes on rye bread, they are both fantastic! I've never been disappointed!

A bunch of us from the office went to Yitz's for lunch today. 4 of us ordered hamburgers with fries and 2 of us ordered sandwiches on rye and I of course had to get the Yitz's pickle. I have yet to find a restaurant with such delicious dill pickles..Yitz's has the BEST!

I took Rob to Yitz's on Sunday.. I ordered the corned beef on a sesame seed bun and he ordered the Smoked Turkey. I ordered my usual plate of pickles and that's when he decided this was his favorite restaurant :)

I love Yitz's.. I really do.. I eat there all the time. Yesterday in fact. I ordered my favorite corned beef sandwich, this time with a poppy seed bun and chicken soup which was delish.

My boyfriend ordered the meatloaf which came with potatoes.... the server told him to order it saying it was really good. Unfortunately.. he didn't like it at all... not the meatloaf or the potatoes.. he didn't want to be rude so he took it to go.. only tho throw it out when he got home.

Today was a super busy day at Yitz's... teh place was packed!

I ordered a pastrami sandwich on a sesame bun with a pickle to go.

I took my sandwich back to the office and was quite surprised that my sandwich had half of the meat they usually put on a sandwich, It was quite disappointing.. it was the smallest Yitz's sandwich I've ever had and I've been eating there for 4 years. I suspect they must have ran out of pastrami? Needless to say it was still absolutely delicious!

It's no schwartz's but it will do...
An interesting menu...everything you would find in bubbys kitchen "grandmother in yiddish"...from the Latka's to the Cow can never go wrong with a good old snack at Yitz's..

Schwartz's is about the size of 3 booths at Yitz's..people line up down the street 24/7 just to get a taste of their world famous smoke meat...

My first mozza ball soup
Today a coworker and I decided to have lunch at YITZ's...once we ordered our drinks I was told that I must try the mozza ball soup, which was delicious! I also had the smoked meat sandwich, by far was the best I've had since my days in Montreal. The service was very fast and friendly and the prices were very good(two people with drinks and soup $22). So if your looking for a delicious affordable lunch, try YITZ's!

The secret to a great conr beef sandwich
Who doens't love a good cornbeef sandwich with potato salad. Most of us do (excluding all the vegeterians who don't know what they are missing out :-)

Yitz's cornbeef on a kaiser with poppy seads is absolutely delishious. Get the potato salad with it and its gonna cost you under 10 bucks. Makes for a great lunch and you will be stuffed!

Only MAKE SURE you ask them you need it realy juicy - ask for medium(sometime it came quite dry and it's not the same!), i think they call it medium rare .. hmm .. not sure now.

PS: never tried anything else there but once i will ... definitely coming back here to report

I always ask them to make my sandwich from meat "close to the fat". It tends to be a little juicier (or fattier I suppose) and tastier.

I know the lady you're talking about. I engaged her in a nice conversation one afternoon and haven't had a problem with her since.

I don't care for their potato salad - a little too heavy on the vinegar. I like potato salad that's more heavy on the mayo side.

But yeah, great sandwich and under $10 with a diet coke. Can't beat that, especially within walking distance from the office.

And Benny loves them too.
