Starbucks - York Mills & Lesmill, North York Reviews (1)
They have a drive through!
ok - so you have to speak their language - or else they WILL correct you. I actually find myself practicing as I walk in so I won't screw it up to badly..."Remember to say decaf first....not the size"
AND it's certainly not the cheapest coffee around - that prize likely goes to Coffee Time - no wonder.
BUT I do like the starbucks thing - the service is always pretty good - more consistent than some of the other coffee chains, no doubt because all the Starbucks stores are company owned.
So I blew my lunch money on coffee. Oh Well.

Lutz, nice use of the Yiddish. The most aggravating thing about Starbucks is the little tiny stations they have with the cream, sugar etc...You have a 30 people huddled around “excuse me, excuse me” Everyone’s hands are all over those white lids. It’s the most inefficient part of the experience. Oy!!
Brilliant marketing. What else could turn a commoditized industry such as the coffee business into a luxurious, trendy, brand-driven empire? Really, where else would you spend more than $4 on a coffee?!
and yes ... sometimes i just wish i could say ..i'll have the #5 please lol
its because they are in a business of selling an experience along with their coffee ;-)that's their shtick
There are plenty of aggravating things at Starbucks - enough to keep me out of their stores. First, the only way I'm spending $5 on a coffee is if there's a nip of Irish Whiskey in it. Second, and foremost for me, the service in Starbucks just plain sucks. It's not uncommon to spend 10 minutes in a lineup waiting to be served. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that don't mind spending 10 minutes in line waiting for a $5 cup of joe, I'm just not one of them. I can easily walk into the Second Cup right down the street and get the same cup of coffee for half the price, and be in and out of the store fully creamed and sugared in 2 minutes flat.
Very tru!!! Coffee now has its official language thanks to Starbucks!!!!
Good job =)
