Despite its name, this quiet west-end sushi joint is not a scrambling takeout counter. Plenty of seating and friendly wait staff encourage lingering over regular tea refills. The familiar gyoza appetizer pales compared to mouth-watering deep-fried oysters; fresh from the oil, their panko coating contrasts perfectly with cool garlic-mayo dipping sauce. Unagi gaba­yaki—sliced barbecued eel with a sweet teriyaki sauce—makes a similarly refreshing alternative to chicken teriyaki.
