This quaint French find with an Italian slant may be more hodge-podge decor than mega-money retrofit, but even that is refreshing, especially if you consider that a true bistro is all about being intimate, cozy and casual. And a place open mere weeks, rarely exudes the kind of warmth that only an old neighbourhood mainstay could. Perhaps this is due to Lolo's Hugo Boss-clad owner/server, Louis Ourique, a suave and smiley unpretentious restaurateur with uncompromising charm and friendliness.
