On a hot Friday night, Bloor Streer West could pass for any European city – it sure doesn’t look like Toronto. For openers, people are out walking: the young and the old, the bold and the beautiful, the bad, the good, and the well-dressed (in that casual throwaway style that either happens naturally or takes hours to get just right). Where are they all going? At one point or another they’ll end up at Dooney’s. Some people prefer to sit inside. Air conditioning keeps it cool, and you can salivate over the vast display of desserts so sensual they should be x-rated. But the place to be is at a patio table, railside, watching the world pass by.
