Dr Chavez is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and Hypertension, and is a Clinical Hypertension Specialist. His clinical and research interests include management of hereditary kidney diseases, such as ADPKD or Alport syndrome; management of all causes of glomerulonephritis or nephrotic syndrome; management of complex cases of hypertension, especially if associated with underlying kidney disease. He is a collaborator of the UM ADPKD Center of Excellence and the UM Comprehensive Hypertension Center. He received his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma De Chihuahua, Mexico.
