In my role, I deal with everything from learning disabilities and depression, to grief work and personality disorders. I enjoy working with people and providing support as they share their life stories. My goal is to help them realize their strengths while addressing their concerns and teaching new skills that can aid in coping with life’s challenges. My first career inspired my work today. I worked with at-risk parents and realized many were struggling from mental health issues. I also ran a multi-sensory tutoring program for adults with learning disabilities and found that often they also suffered from anxiety or depression. Seeing how widespread mental health challenges were motivated me to make a difference by becoming a licensed professional counselor.
