The Maus family began selling John Deere farm implements in 1944 at their general mercantile store in Atkins, Arkansas. The farm equipment establishment grew rapidly, which caused the family to split the company and relocate the farm equipment business to Morrilton in the late 1940’s. Johnny Maus ran the business until 1969 and was followed by Carl Berkemeyer, who managed the store until the early 1980s. At this time Bernie Maus assumed his role as top manager and headed the company until 2004. Bernie’s sons John and Jeff took over operations in 2004 and have since added locations in Russellville and Damascus. With over 70 years of service, Maus Implement is the oldest family-owned John Deere dealer in Arkansas. Go to full description...
