SOUTH PLACER HEATING AND AIR

This South placer Heating and air is the WORST Company EVER..I opened my claim back in November for my heater furnice, and several of their incompetent technicians been to my house(never on time and 3 times they didnt show up AT ALL,they rescheduled the appointments), and EVERY technician finally showed up, didnt know what they were doing AT ALL, one of them actually admitted he just go the job and trying to learn, so he said he didn't know how to fix the problem. Next technician came 2 weeks after making me WAIT, and he fixed the heater but BROKE the AC..He blamed us and said i must have not done regular maintenance on the unit..They are out of touch, dont know what they're doing, a cery shady company who dont even show up to their own appointments,and when they do come, they never fix the problem but cause a new one..STAY AWAY FROM SOUTH PLACER HEATING AND AIR..I will be putting formal complaints on them to the necessary authorities..They should NOT BE IN BUSINESS and screwing people's times, wasting while waiting for them..Their technicians are STUPID also..HORRIBLE Company.

SCAM! BE AWARE! This company is contracted with our Home Warranty. I've scheduled a pre-season system check through our Home Warranty. The technician who did the check stated that our System is in great shape and works perfectly fine. Soon enough, the weather got a little warmer, we turned on the A/C and out of a sudden it kept tripping the breaker. So I opened a claim with our Home Warranty, paid another $75 and they scheduled the appointment with South Placer Heating. Mike came out, even though he was supposed to call ahead of time, he never did. Fine, no problem. He checked the system and diagnosed a faulty TXV and bad Coils. Mike scheduled an appointment for the next day with the advisor that would explain the repair vs upgrade. Next day James shows up little earlier than scheduled, which is fine. He asked me what happened, I told him our story and he said he's been hearing that all the time, at least 85% of his house visits, where the pre season check was perfectly fine and a week later the unit won't work. Fishy, a little, you'd think????
James explained what options we have (cash out to repair on own, repair with $3800 out of pocket costs, upgrade to a new system) He suggested that our system needs to be replaced as its already 23 years old (our house was built in 2003) and told me we should replace the furnace as well, as we will get a better deal. He pulled out two system options and try to sell me on an epic financing deal. New system for only $159/month. I had to ask for the total price, terms and APR. Figured, its 12 yr financing, for a system that lasts between 10-15years. 6.99%!!! Cash Price 18K!! I asked why he would replace the furnace if it has been working just fine again he said because its a better deal! I made James pull up an option for only A/C and he was almost shocked how much cheaper it would be.... Still $129/month 12yr, 6.99% but only 15k!!!! I sent him his way, saying I needed to think this through and discuss with my husband.
As soon as he left, I googled for different companies, found and called a family owned business, single guy company for a second opinion. He was friendly on the phone, scheduled an appointment for two days later, he came, looked at the system, sure enough diagnosed a bad breaker bc of a wire that came loose! Charged us $175 for service call and repair, saved us 18K, checked the system and told us it's running still close to 90% and will give us probably another couple years or more! Coils work perfectly fine!
So save yourself a headache, ask your home warranty for a different company! It's a shame how they scam people and I don't know how they can sleep at night! Look at BBB rating and complaints. I can't believe this company is still in business and able to stay in business!!!

My heating system broke and South Placer was busy but she showed up at 10 pm at night and discovered a part broke and needed to be replaced....as the house was very cold he went online and found the part downtown, left went to pick it up and at 1 30 am the heater was working!

Almost forgot to give these guys a review. Been a while but they did a great job when they came to service our house. My wife even commented that the house smells better now that the vents have been cleaned. We will do this more often now. Thanks guys!

The service technician that arrived promptly on time was very patient in diagnosing the issue and within minutes he told me my problem in details and what had to be done then and there, it wasn't a major repair but definitely got me up an running in no time. They answered all my questions that I had, I'm very happy with their service and with no hesitation I will call them in the future. Thanks prime time I will definitely recommend you guys!

Great service from South Placer Heating and Air.Nick did a great job of thoroughly cleaning the air vents that had a lot of hair buildup from shedding dogs, and clearly explained the process as he worked through it.

When our air conditioning went out on Saturday late morning right before our daughters 5th birthday party in the dead heat of June, we were sick. We found this company and they came right out. They were able to diagnose the problem and have the air back on in under an hour after arriving.

Two GREAT guys just came to my house. Wonderful demeanor, super quick. No hassles. A HUGE THING FOR ME... they wore boot covers... without being asked. That is huge to me as I'm super clean and often subs/contractors don't do that. Shows they really respect their clients space.

I called them and was able to get a same day appt. My ac stopped working and they were able to fix the problem and get it running again. They are economical and I would refer them to friends and family.

I took a chance with this company when my AC unit was dripping water and then needed to be flushed. They came out the very next day and fixed the problem with very little cost.
