Tatami Imports is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. All our products are Made In Japan. Our close association with several Japanese tatami manufacturers from across Japan provides us with the variety, expertise and support that no one else does. Our tatami mats are made by traditional second and third generation tatami craftsmen who are able to create tatami mats entirely by hand. We think this is important because it provides an ability to understand the difference between what machines can do and what a craftsman can create. Through them lies our assurance and confidence that all the tatami mats we carry are of the best quality and workmanship.
