My Addiction was created in 2007 by Savannah Carmichael. She was known as a makeup addict by friends and family, and decided to turn her addiction into a career. In early 2008, she became a licensed esthetician and started working with a dermatologist. In 2012, after falling in love with the medical side of aesthetics, she enrolled as a full-time student at National University to earn her BSN. My Addiction Skin Care was born in 2013 after Savannah was presented with the opportunity to open her own shop.
