Markville Dry Cleaners, Markham Reviews (4)
I read with interest the review from the customer who said they had been going for some time, then found damaged items which they refused to acknowledge. We have been going for 7-8 years roughly 1-2 times per month, add up that cost, but recently service has deteriorated with lost shirts, a lost belt for my wife, and last week, a brand new blouse that came back ripped that they tried to blame her for. The worst thing was they didn't care that we told them we would never come back. That's the kind of business it is, I guess, they cared more for the last 60 dollar ticket than the future hundreds of dollars from our business. I'm glad this happened because from time to time at cleaners there will be damage, and how they react is really key, are they going to admit to it or blame the customer. They failed the test, I guess. Good luck!
It us unfortunate to hear about the poor customer experience and broken shirt buttons.
We have been taking out dry cleaning here for about 4 years now and are satisfied with the service provided. My dress shirts are custom made and have not ever had a button break from dry cleaning. In fact, this place has occasionally fixed a loose button at no extra charge.
An added bonus is a Tim Hortons is just a few steps away.

After nearly 2 years of frequenting Markville Drycleaners and spending on average $150-200 per month on dry cleaning we will not be going back to markville dry cleaners.
We took back two sweaters (both worn less than 3 times) that came back with holes. Looked to be holes from hangers catching them the sweaters. I explained three times to the lady and man (Owners) that the sweaters came back with holes and they were from my last order (over $110 for that order alone). We found a sweater with a hole, then looked for others, the one beside it had holes also.
They would hear nothing of it that it could be their fault. I was told “It must have happened at your house” and “we can’t check every sweater” and “It was nut us” . There was no discussion that they could have done this, nor any offer of any thing as it couldn’t have been their fault.
Very unexpected as they both knew me very well, as we are in there 1-2 times per week.
I explained that if they were not going to discuss the possibility that it was their problem, I'd take my business else where and reminded them that I was a regular very frequent customer. They didn’t care…..
The only response was "bye bye" from the lady in a sarcastic and non caring tone of voice. Nothing more than…."Bye bye" after several thousand $ in business - how rude.
Not only am I embarrassed for them, I'd couldn't believe the response - unbelievable. Beyond the frequent broken buttons on shirts (I never complain about), they were plain rude...
If you are new to the areas, don't go there
If you go there now and are reading this - I'd suggest you find somewhere else to go as if you have a problem with an item cleaned there it will of course be “your fault” and if you explain the problem, don’t expect a polite response.
