I had very bad experience with this company, almost from day one. Their tech reps often reported completion of services that they never did or at best partially did. I did catch them when they only did application on the front yard and left an invoice for a complete service. Had to call the office to bring the tech back to do the backyard. Overall I did not see value in their service, weeds became more than before the grass did not get better. The only the thing I gained is the many flow up phone calls and a lot of headache. I will never consider to do business with them any more and do not recommend them to any one.The office people are even worse than the technicians. They are all masters in dishonesty. They try to drive their clients crazy by sending frequent invoices for services that was not done. When I did not give up, they hire the collection agency to chase me for $40.
They are evils.

Pushy sales tactics, not respectful, I told them several times I am busy and they still keep talking to make the sales. They cut you off while you're talking. Have a thousand options even though you say you have similar product offerings. They use terms like ours is "proven", our "new" technique ...which all sounds like bull. I finally called them to tell them to stop calling me and take me off the call back list - even though I had ask several times before.
P.S I've received lawn care services from them before and never noticed any difference.

I cannot believe we payed so much in full at the start of the summer for 4 applications and now its fall, our lawn is WORSE then last year, with weeds everywhere and mushrooms growing too. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

Tech only showed their self on 1st treatment, the 2nd time the tech came i only saw the invoice and notice only fertilizer applied and few weed spot shot as they call and left another thousand at front and backyard untreated. Today my lawn is a worse than ever weeds all over video and photos are taken to be used in court and the secret video Ived taken tech only went to the lawn not even 10 min and stayed in his service truck longer than what he supposed to do. If my lawn is not getting better before the end of this season, the videos ive'd taken will be posted to you tube so they will see how bad their service and hoping they go bunkrupt and out of business.

May 12th my lawn got fertilizer & weed mgmt. In the evening when I came home I discovered only small part of my lawn was treated. I called the company and was surprised to know they sprayed 40% of my lawn. Waited another day - maybe dark spots shown nicely in their leaflet will appear in other places, but no luck. I measured the covered area and called again to complain that less than 10% of my lawn was treated, and the yesterday lawn specialist (John S) showed up and left me a paper recommending excessive weed intervention treatment.
I called GreenLawn again to question about 40% they promised to cover first treatment, and they told me my lawn was re-sprayed yesterday, which again wasn't true - there wasn't even sign on my lawn.
Got tired of their lies and cancelled the service.

I had booked a fall root zone fertilization service from GreenLawn in the fall. I had a small issue with the service and phoned the 1-800 number. This avenue of customer service is very unsatisfactory. I therefore went to the company's website and sent my query online. I received a call back within one hour (from Sarah) and the issue was satisfactorily resolved.

Right before spring I was looking at my yard and it was terrible. There were weeds and stickers everywhere and I started to pull them by hand and it seemed like I was getting nowhere. Green Lawn guys came out and sprayed my yard and couldn't believe but within a week all the weeds and stickers were dying and disappearing. Now my grass looks a lot healthier and getting better every time you guys come out. Dont know about you guyz but I am hoping to stay with them for years!

Funny, at about the same time a GL sales rep told me they don't spray anything in the spring because the weeds are too young and not in the summer because it's too hot. I guess they treat their own employees with more respect.

In March I spoke back and forth with a Greenlawn sales rep (Thomas) via email and phone. I asked for details on their vague flyer to make sure I understood what I was about to pay for. I was told that they don't apply Sarritor until the end of the summer because it's not effective in the high heat during the season. Since they don't spray any weed killer during the season, they instead manually pull weeds during each visit. I asked how much time they spend pulling weeds and he said 2 technicians come out and pull weeds for an hour. If they don't get all the weeds after an hour they'll book one service call free of charge to come back and pull a little more. Thomas also stated I could call him any time during the service to address any problems. I also explained to Thomas that I tried their service several years ago and was disappointed by it. I said they lied to me and mislead me into thinking I was getting one thing when I was getting something else. I picked through his sales pitch in detail, asking specific questions.

I prepaid $324 for (from my invoice):
"... minimum of 4 treatments evenly distributed over the season:
- Fertilizer applications optimally timed from early spring into fall
- Season long weed management
- Lawn condition monitoring with notes and recommendations
- Free service calls
Visit Prices (57.03 + 57.03 + 57.03 + 57.03)
Alfalfa application
"

Their 1st treatment was mid-April and was fertilizer only (no weed pulling). Their 2nd treatment was end of May and included fertilizer, alfalfa, and 15 minutes of weed pulling by two techs. They didn't get all the weeds pulled so they booked a follow up appointment to get some more, though I suspect this gesture was only because I was there outside with them. When I asked about the hour long service he (Paul) gave me a strange look and said it's only 15 minutes! They did come back 4 days later and spent another 15 minutes pulling weeds, but did not get all the weeds. That was June 3.

For the next two months, the only visit I got from GreenLawn was from a door-to-door sales rep asking if I was interested in having my lawn aerated. During this time I've had to pull some of the weeds myself just so the kids don't get pricked by the thistles.

Today (Aug 3) I got a visit from another GreenLawn rep (Laura) who was gathering feedback from customers, looking at all the weeds in my lawn, and offering the new Fiesta product. She explained that I'm not scheduled to receive my 3rd tech visit from them until the end of the month, since the 4-visit program is just like their 5-visit program but skipping the middle visit. Note my invoice above states I get 4 visits evenly distributed. Instead, I'm now told the plan all along was to leave me with weeds in my lawn for the 3 full months of June, July, and August...basically the entire summer!

To add insult to injury, I was then told that my program didn't even include the Sarritor application. To receive that was an additional cost. Laura was surprised to learn what Thomas told me earlier in the year, then informed me that Thomas was actually fired a while ago.

So to recap:
- GreenLawn's visits each cost me $57 + tax and got me fertilizer and 15 minutes of weed pulling by 2 techs, but I was told I was getting 60 minutes. If we say that half of that cost was for the fertilizer then I'm effectively paying each of these techs $60/hr to pull weeds!
- GreenLawn's first visit doesn't even include the weed pulling, but I did get an extra weed pull on June 3 because I had so many weeds. They failed to pull all the weeds that day and did not book another follow up.
- GreenLawn's 4-visit package intentionally avoids customers for the majority of the summer, grouping 2 visits in the spring and 2 around the start of fall, in contradiction to their advertisement.
- I did pay for, and receive, the alfalfa.
- I was told I was getting a Sarritor treatment during the 4th visit, but am now told that's not what I paid for.
- The sales rep that said I could call him any time is no longer there.
- Despite being made aware of the deception (some is my word against theirs, some is in document form), GreenLawn has yet to offer any compensation...only bewildered looks and apologies.

Despite all my efforts to get GreenLawn to detail what I was paying for, they still managed to lie to me and mislead me. For instance, I suspect Thomas told me about 1 hour of weed pulling as in a total time of weed pulling (4 visits times 15 minutes per visit), even though I asked about each visit specifically and told him to be clear and up front with me.

This year I have given GreenLawn a 2nd chance (they pulled similar twists on me several years ago) and they blew it again. I now know I can save about $60/hr if I pull my own weeds. I will never buy their service again and will make an effort to warn my friends and neighbors about this scam.

Was happy with them until this incident, so who knows how often they scam people.

Saw when the pulled up to service my lawn and the guy was in the truck writing something. So I went about doing my stuff in the backyard. About 10 minutes later came to the front door and saw a bill that clearly stated that he applied Fertilizer and weed control and recommends that the lawn gets some other type of fertilization before the winter.
Called the company immediately and they said they'll get the guy to call us back. The guy called us back and denied everything at first, then he claimed that because we received the bill it doesn't mean that the work was done even though the bill did clearly state that he had done the work. Then he finally admitted that the weather was bad and he just put the bill and left. I would not use their service anymore because I am unsure of how many times they did this to me this year. If you are going with them then I suggest you are always home when they arrive to ensure that the work is completed.
