Manor Oak Nursery is situated within the extensive grounds of Manor Oak Primary School. Providing high quality Early Year's education for children from 2 to 4 years old in a safe and stimulating environment where all children can thrive. The Nursery is based in a purpose built building which is fully air conditioned and has a lovely outdoor area for children to use in all weathers throughout the year. Manor Oak Nursery is open between 8.50am and 3.05pm for 38 weeks a year during school term times. We have two sessions a day, 8.50am - 11.50am and 12.05pm - 3.05pm. We also offer full- time and sessional childcare and we hope to work flexibly around your needs. Children are offered a wide variety of activities and opportunities to become involved and engaged. These include discovery play, singing and stories, creative art and sensory play. The Acorn room and the outside area within Nursery and the main school provides the children with a safe and secure base for them to take full advantage of their environment and the experiences it offers. These include Forest School, the Mud Kitchen and climbing equipment. Staff play an integral part in guiding and supporting them throughout their time in Acorns. Each child's progress is assessed through observations to ensure that activities are appropriate and encourage further development. Language is a main focus of the school and staff ensure that opportunities to encourage communication are offered at all times.
