Smoother Movers

The Smoother Movers team relocated us over a 2 day period and 2 ferry rides. They showed up on time and worked nonstop, they wrapped all our goods in blankets then stretch wrapped them and then taped each item. We have some huge and very heavy antique pieces that they miraculously managed to carry up 20 stairs and around tight corners. Not a thing damaged with our goods or our new home. The guys were awesome, very accommodating and patient while we decided what went where. Doug and his team at Smoother Movers are the best of the best. Polite and very professional, these guys are the real deal and I have no hesitation recommending them and will use them again if we ever need them.

We used Smoother Movers for our house move from Burnaby to Penticton. Everything went great, the guys worked incredibly hard, and were careful and courteous throughout. Would recommend and use again.

I recently hired Smoother Movers to help move me from a large 2 bedroom
apartment in a heritage house (with stairs)to a smaller 2 bedroom condo. Bad
knees were forcing me to downsize. I did the packing, using Frog boxes and
plastic bins and moved in two stages.

The first, to a storage locker, with the help of Smoother Movers, and the
second stage, the bulk of my possessions, was moved two weeks later into the
condo.

Smoother Movers could not have done a better job. The second move was huge.
I had not able downsize as much as maybe I should have. The men were
amazing. They lifted and carried, up and down stairs, loading the truck, for
hours without a break and without complaint.

Nothing was lost and nothing was damaged. My frustratingly large number of
boxes and large pieces of antique furniture, were treated with respect. It
took well into the evening to complete the move.

When I later discovered that a frog box was missing, Smoother Movers
responded with concern and made efforts to locate the missing box. I finally
found it in my storage locker where I had put it 2 weeks earlier. Totally my
fault.

I cannot recommend Smoother Movers and the use of Frog boxes more highly. My
difficult move could not have gone better.

I thank everyone involved for making my move as smooth as possible.

‼️‼️If you need a trustworthy mover-HERE it is‼️‼️ We just had an occasion that, as it happened required a quick move. I called this company and I was happy from start to finish. Starting with Doug-not only does he have a nice strong honest voice, he was VERY accommodating- and helpful - as this move was not one where I knew days before would happen. After hearing my situation, he took the time to understand and immediately got two workers to come to my home within that same day. The move went well and everything happened within the time he anticipated. (He even called to tell me when the mover was going to be about twenty minutes late!) After this move we WILL call him again and pass his name on as well 😁! What I hoped for was trustable movers. Here, I got that, AND FAIR pricing-unlike a few other places that I had called beforehand👍👍 They were right on the time he suggested, mannerly, helpful, friendly movers -who even placed our things where we needed them to be. The furniture arrived without any problems. First of all -when you call for a mover the biggest hopes you have are honesty and fair pricing, no worries about mistakes-and this mover gives you ALL starting with the phonecall💕 👍👍. Try this company and you won't be disappointed‼️

I called very last minute and Doug arranged for a time that suited us both. The movers were great, worked efficiently and even indulged my switching furniture in rooms before they left. No damage, no stress, pleasant experience all around. I would hire them again if needed in the future.

We were really happy with our move. They came with a massive truck and our 2.5 bdrm apartment (two couches, two beds, dressers, bookcases) only took up half the space. They were efficient and their quoted time was spot-on. The price was one of the lowest we were quoted, and we were happy with their reliability and good reviews. Smoother Movers did it again, they were exceptional and delivered the best service and price. Kirk moved my Mother to assisted living on Vancouver Island and because of his great service it made the transition less stressful. This is why we have been using them for 30 years, so thankful.

I recently hired Smoother Movers for my move, and I have to say, it was an absolute nightmare. Not only did they mishandle my belongings, but they also caused a dent in my floorboard, which they initially denied. Luckily, my boyfriend and I were present during the move, and he served as my witness to their negligence.

To make matters worse, even after admitting their mistake, they still had the audacity to charge me the full payment for their services. They refused to leave my home without receiving payment, leaving me with no choice but to comply. It was a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and a complete lack of professionalism.

When I demanded that they either pay for the repair or replace the damaged floorboard, they flat-out denied both requests. Instead, they offered to complete superficial repairs that would be glaringly obvious to the naked eye. It's disheartening to see a company prioritize a quick fix over proper resolution, especially when they were the ones responsible for the damage in the first place.

I am deeply disappointed by Smoother Movers' behavior and their unwillingness to take responsibility for their actions. The entire experience has left me feeling frustrated, taken advantage of, and disrespected as a paying customer. I strongly advise against using their services if you value professionalism, accountability, and the safety of your belongings.

Additionally, it is important to note that Smoother Movers displayed a severe lack of communication. Despite reaching out to them via email regarding the unresolved issue, they completely ignored my message and never bothered to respond. This further highlights their disregard for customer concerns and reinforces the unprofessionalism exhibited throughout the entire ordeal. Their failure to acknowledge my attempts at seeking resolution only adds to the overall disappointment and frustration experienced with Smoother Movers.

Please beware of Smoother Movers and spread the word to ensure others don't go through the same ordeal. They have shown a complete lack of integrity and customer service, making them a company to avoid at all costs.

I recently did a move and storage with Doug and Linda at smoother movers. They were very responsive when we were arranging the move. I was given access to the storage ahead of time so that I could bring some loads early to make it easier on moving day. The pricing was very fair, They charge you to the 1/2 hr which is better than companies I’ve used in the past. Their guys that came on moving day were great, hard workers that took excellent care of our things. All couches plastic wrapped, bags on the mattresses and blankets on hard furniture.
I would 100% recommend them and will use them in the future.

On time, happy attitude, dealt with problems well, worked hard for hours to get it done.Bill saw the challenges, talked with us, solved the problems our move presented and, with a “let’s get this done and done well” frame of mind, did just that. The diligence, strength and work hard attitude of Orie and Ryan (sorry if spelling is not correct) kept the work of moving on time . Thank you guys.

Nothing was damaged, the job was pretty much kept on time and the delivery was as good as it could be. They drove to the interior, met us when they said they would and carried on to deliver our new home positive experience. Thank you nothing but smooth work from the Smoother (est) movers.

Doug and his team were absolutely incredible to work with! They were professional, respectful, and got the job done well. We had a complicated move with an oversized piece of furniture that required extra wrap and padding, and then to be lowered off the deck as it was too large to exit through any doorways other than a sliding door. These guys didn't break a sweat, and flawlessly executed their plan.

We had two drop off locations, one in North Vancouver and one on the Sunshine Coast. The first drop off went great, and I really appreciated them being able to accommodate us to drop off a single bedroom set at a separate apartment (without an elevator in 30 degree weather, so thank you!).

It was a long local trip for them to the Sunshine Coast, but when the team arrived to move all of the furniture into temporary storage and into it's new home, they went above and beyond to make sure that any furniture going into the temporary (outdoor) storage was exceptionally well sealed with shrink wrap and moving blankets.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a professional experience. Our move had been difficult up to this point, and Doug and his team took away all of the final stress. We've sent his contact information to our real estate agent to add Doug and his company to their recommended movers lists for the North Shore.

Excellent service!!! Showed up on a Sunday and helped us out with a challenging couch lift over our balcony. We highly recommend them and will definitely use their service in the future.

Regarding our moving experience, Smoother Movers did everything they promised and more. I was so worried about my Grandma's antique's which included a plaster framed mirror. The movers arrived with blankets, shrink-wrap and a mirror carton. They even took the weights and chains out of our Grandfather clock and carefully wrapped them for the move. This was certainly not a precaution I would have thought of. We had had a bad experience with other movers previously, so were nervous how this move might go. It was a huge relief when the job was completed and not only done in the time quoted but done in a very professional manner. The movers were on time, cheerful and worked well together. I would not hesitate to recommend Smoother Movers.
