I reserved a storage unit online and received a confirmation by email, stating that I can hold it for two weeks before making a payment. Within a couple of minutes though, I received a call from Julia at the location asking me to come in and pay since it’s a promotional rate and only one unit was left. I promptly replied that I was not intending to move into the unit immediately and will be paying by the end of my reservation period, which is as per their company policy. But I was refused and told very rudely that they will not hold this unit for me since (again) it was a promotional rate. Mind you, this was my third booking with this company (different location), both times booked a promotional rate and was never forced into coming in and paying for it immediately. I asked Julia if she had any policy document confirming that the wait period can’t be applied during a promotion to which she responded, I’m telling you it’s not. So basically I have to take her word for it and ignore the written confirmation I have from the company, with no such caveat mentioned.
I then asked to speak to a supervisor, she said she is the supervisor of that location. I then asked to speak to whoever she reports to. She said she will have them contact me but that did not happen.
At the two week mark, when I went in to make the payment, I encountered Julia and she informed me that the reservation had been cancelled.
I never received any email stating that my reservation was cancelled and I never received a call from her supervisor either. I left the location absolutely disgusted with their lack of professionalism and made a note to call their corporate head office immediately to lodge a complaint. It’s been three business days and I have yet to receive a call back from them either.
So all in all, be vary of this company, especially this location. They seem to run things as they please without any consideration for their clients or their company practices. I will be making a formal complaint with BBB as well (even though they have plenty of them already from what I can see on BBB’s website).

We stopped by this location last Saturday to rent a unit for our upcoming move. The young lady behind the desk was amazing! She turned what would have been a very boring, stressful, and mundane task into a very pleasant experience. She was extremely personable and we all had a few laughs. She made us feel comfortable, explained everything very clearly, and so rather than shop around, we signed an agreement with her. Highly recommend this spot!
Julia at this location is tremendous helpful, nice and very kind. She showed us all the available options and toured us around the lot, along with the potential lockers that were available to our needs.
Julia gave us all the pricing in-store, however we did look at the website before visiting and noticed that the online pricing is much better than what Julia was able to offer in store.
Guess it’s a SmartStop strategy to get people to book online instead? Which really sucks because the service in store is literally a night and day experience. Julia definitely sold us on a unit but unfortunately have to book online instead due to the way better pricing especially for first time renters.
Please also check other locations as well as we noticed that different locations have different pricing, even for the same sizes.
Obviously, the locations have to be convenient but make sure you look online first!
All in all, the customer service and information provided by the employee Julia at this location was awesome! Definitely worth the visit.

Had a great experience at SmartStop Self Storage, the girl in the office was amazing!! I can’t remember her name but she was super helpful and made everything so easy and quick. She explained everything really well and was super friendly too. Honestly she made the whole process way less stressful than I thought it would be. Big thanks to her for being so awesome!!

Attended during regular open business hours with the intention to obtain and purchase a long term storage unit and the door to the office was locked. The managers number was listed on the door, we attempted to call to no avail. Eventually, a representative came to the front door and opened it a crack (we were standing in the rain outside) and told us we need to wait 30 minutes because he was in a meeting. He didn’t offer for us to wait inside the office and he barely even opened the door an inch to speak to us. It was a very odd interaction for us as customers prepared to give this business thousands of dollars, we felt shooed away. We left went to a competitor down the street with no issues.
Yash was very accommodating and patient with every last detail and very professional and helpful. Would highly recommend this affordable service for anyone with storage requirements
Yash helped me set up booking my storage unit. He was fast and friendly. He did a great job.
Prospective renters, before you open a unit with SmartStop please do yourself a favour and go back and read several years worth of reviews and you will see the trend of this company raising their prices on customers. We started out 2 years ago paying $180 per month and we have just closed our unit because $349.17 is intolerable. The facility is clean, the employees are nice but the fees and increases are unforgivable. $4,188 a year is not an option for us.

Both times I went here were great. First, a substitute showed us a storage space and made a reservation and a week later I signed the papers and moved my stuff in. Yash helped me to choose the right storage unit for me and made the whole process quick and easy.
This company is a scam!! They will lure you in with promotional low prices and after few months they increase it to double without any notice of incfrease. It is a discusting practice and they should not be allowed to operate. DO NOT use them! I would not give them any stars if I could.
I came to see the unit few days ago, and it was my first time looking for storage and YASH went through all the process smoothly and easily

Very happy with the storage space. Everything was clean and the facility was well maintained. Staff (Beth) was excellent.
Beth was fabulous. She went through everything in fine detail and was very very helpful. SmartStop Self Storage should be very proud of Beth for how she represents your company
6 months into lease they increased my monthly rent $70 per month. Question them about it and they hide behind their vague fine print on their contracts. Apparently as long as they given you written notice they can increase rates when and however they want. Beware.
I met with Beth today and had 432 questions for her. She was very helpful and super patient. We signed up for a 10 x 20 drive in unit. 👍
Beth is amazing and so deserves a raise for how much she is willing to go above and beyond to make sure all questions are answered.
Recently got a unit here to store some things until I move and Beth was the best! Made it such an easy and smooth process! Thanks so much for making moving stuff so easy.
I recently had an amazing experience with Beth she was incredibly nice and understanding. She was always respectful, no matter what questions or concerns I had. What stood out the most was her wonderful personality that made the whole experience enjoyable. She made me feel comfortable and taken care of. The same day I took it, is the same day I cancelled without ever bringing anything there. I asked for a refund. They said they would need to contact manager and district manager. I appreciated that. But nothing came of it. I contacted them again. Same line. No response. It cost me time. 3/5. Average.
