Not good indeed. Installers had no idea how to handle an older home and no one to ask. The windows they had approved were not installable, but they didn't say that until AFTER they had cut open our ceiling. So we had to downgrade and they then rushed the job so that the framing was sloppy, so much so that the manufacturer's own screens can't fit properly and the "solar" blinds don't even work correctly. I will now have to hand chisel parts of the frame to even be able to box in the windows and resize the screens myself. What an unprofessional mess.
