Truly love the Good Bite! Ate here as a kid and now bring my kids here on a routine basis. Great diner feel, and as many know, if you been here more than once Jimmy & Maria will greet you -- probably by name! Wonderful service, portions are generous and your coffee is filled up often!

Good Bite is a gem for brunch and breakfast, by far the best place for both I've been around Yonge & Eglinton, simple, delicious, and the prices are great.

The coffee is amazing, it's not too strong or too light, the staff refill it for free diner style and they're super friendly.

The scrambled eggs were fluffy, bacon and potatoes were crisped to perfection.
We added a chocolate chip pancake on the side and it was supple and soft in the middle.

Upon entering I reflected on 50 years ago when I lived across the street from this restaurant. 😀 It still has that comfy 60s feel with booths and counter seating. But the best of all has to be their food! I had the peameal bacon special which came with generous portions of everything! Delicious and just like I remember. 😋 They have takeout and delivery too. It is a family run business and I can see they care about their patrons. 💖 Their staff are excellent!

Owner’s son prefers to sit in a booth with his cell phone instead of giving attentive service. Indifferent and discourteous, would rather be anywhere else than here serving customers. Prices have more than doubled.

Always visit this restaurant when we make our annual trip to Toronto Ireland every year but never again. My daughter and I were in for breakfast and the server started loudly abusing the elderly cook. It went on for at least 10 minutes with foul language and items being thrown on the floor. When we expressed our horror at the abuse of the elderly employee as we were paying the bill the abuser informed us that the man wasn't an employee but his father! He then said this was how people from the Mediterranean expressed themselves. Humiliating his father in such a public way was supposed to be acceptable?! He then turned on us and said we were no longer welcome in his restaurant. No problem with that we won't be back to witness elder abuse again!

I am pescatarian and went with a friend who is a meat eater who wanted to give me a birthday treat.On the menu I saw filet of sole with potatoes and vegs. I ordered mashed potatoes and was told the vegetables were a mixed veg. The meal consisted of 2 scoops of tasteless mashed potato, breaded unseasoned filet of sole and a couple scoops of green peas - dry, tasteless. Laid out in a dry unappealing line on the plate. Before ordering my food I had asked if they had fresh squeezed orange juice since I saw "Juices" on the menu and was told," No". I had also asked if there was Oat or Lactaid milk that I could have with coffee and was told, "No, only 2%. We are an old fashioned diner." When the meal came, I shared my disappointment in it when asked and was rudely told by the female owner, before she turned and walked away, that, I was "a problem from the start, asking for what we do not have on the menu". She then sent a young man over, who (unlike her) asked me if I'd like something else. I said no because I felt the woman initially serving us was rude. He then said he was her son and proceeded to also be insulting. I refused anything else and waited for my friend to finish eating, since she did not seem to mind her sandwich. They did take the offensive plate of food away and did not charge for it. I ordered nothing else and would not recommend that anyone I know dine there.

Their food was not very impressive.

We ordered the big breakfast and corn beef sandwiches. The big breakfast was okay, pretty standard. I do like their home fries, which were very crispy outside.
However, the corn beef sandwiches were sad because they had nothing but corn beef. At least we expected to see lettuce or tomato in the sandwich, but it only had corn beef. Even we needed to add the sauce to the sandwich by ourselves, and the bread was not buttered, so it was super dry while eating.
The servers seemed very friendly, but they all were very flustered and busy while we were eating. The meal price was a little pricey as their portion of the big breakfast was not big, and I didn't feel satisfied.

Home fries, eggs and bacon. If you're a fan, don't miss Good Bite. It's not fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but every weekend it's packed by locals looking for an oldfashioned breakfast. If one weekend you don't feel like spending $18 on a sophisticated eggs bennie, go. Heck, I love a sophisticated eggs bennie, and I don't eat bacon, but even I think it's the best deal around.
