Attorney Kirk D. Ellis received his undergraduate degree in accounting and finance from Ohio Northern University in 1988. He then continued on at Ohio Northern completing his doctorate work at the Claude W. Pettit College of Law in 1991. Attorney Ellis was later that year admitted to the Ohio Bar and was subsequently employed at the Clark County Prosecutor's Office in Springfield, Ohio. Attorney Ellis worked at the Clark County Prosecutor's office as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney until 1999. In 1999, Attorney Ellis established a private law practice focusing primarily on Family Law, Bankruptcy, Criminal Law, and Personal Injury claims. Attorney Ellis currently dedicates a significant portion of his practice in assisting clients with debt management and, if necessary, the filing of a bankruptcy action. In fact, Attorney Ellis has assisted more than 700 clients seeking relief under the United States Bankruptcy Code. Attorney Ellis is a member of the Champaign County Bar Association and spends a great deal of time outside the office with his family and working with children as both a youth sports coach and mentor.
