Contacted Aire One (Kitchener office) to send technician for furnace check up; (they had a special advertised in local paper). Technician came to our house Aug. 2, 2017 and was taken downstairs to check furnace. He had no tools to check anything and used the light from his cell phone to do a visual check. He said there was a leak of CO2 (even though we have a CO2 detector installed near the furnace, and it had not gone off). It took him less than 5 minutes to make this assessment even though he had no tools to check. He went back to his vehicle and spent quite a while in his van, then returned with an infraction tag for the furnace stating that if furnace was not replaced within 49 days that the gas company would come and shut off the gas. He then set up an appointment for a sales person to come and see us the next day. This salesman wanted to sell us both a furnace and air contitioning unit. We did not buy. Called another HVAC company and that technician did a thorough check and gave us his findings. He also will contact the gas company to inform them that there is no leak of CO2. DO NOT LET ANY OF THESE CLOWNS FROM AIRE ONE IN YOUR HOUSE. They obviously have some very unethical people working for them.

Summary of issues with this company include--
Said I would gas company rebate for replacing old one saving me $1500. I didn't think we would qualify but they are experts. I didn't qualify so my cost was $1500 higher
-- ordered new smoke detectors through. First they ordered incorrect product. Then sent installer who didn't know how to hook up smart detectors. Took 3 visits to get it right.
-- I decided now was not time to buy and cancelled. Salesman said could change payment deferral from 3 to 12 months. I said fine and went ahead with order. I noticed online just before 3 month time that it wasn't changed. I texted salesman as his voice mail was full. He never responded. I tried to call again. He finally returned my call. He called me back 2 days later and said it was fixed. Two months after the finance company charged for 2 months payments. I sent him another text and VM. He did not respond so I sent a complaint to office. Person identified as manager said she would fix it. It has been 10 days and the charge has yet to be reversed.

I feel that they are not very competent and that the salesman doesn't care about his customers once the sake has been made.

Bought a new furnace and AC from Aire One because of the great price. The installation crew were very professional and removed and replaced the units in one long day cleaning up everything and removing the old units. I did not sign up for their extended warranty or annual maintenance plans as my last furnace never required any repairs in the 20 years we owned the house. For 18 months, everything worked great. This winter the furnace started to cut out before the house would get up to temperature. I though I would support a local HVAC company and get them to take a look at it rather than bringing Aire One in from out of town. Big mistake. I spent over $250 to have a guy come in for 45 minutes, move a few switches back and forth and basically did nothing but recommend that we change the filter (which was new). The furnace ran for an hour after he left before the problem came back. I called Aire One who quoted a $65 call-out charge and sent a technician over later the same day. He quickly fixed the problem (plugged drain pipe) and left saying that he felt it was a warranty issue and there was no charge.
There is no question that I will be signing up for a maintenance plan with these guys.

I had a 2 stage Hi.Eff. Carrier furnace, 2.5 ton Carrier A/C unit, 5" Filter boot and Aprilaire Humidifier installed this past week. Aire One out of Hamilton did one fantastic job from top to bottom. The installer was both professional and courteous. He arrived when they said he would arrive!! His installation work was neat and thorough....and when done, he cleaned up so you would never had known he was there. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you Aire One for the wonderful job you did on our home. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend you to any of our friends.

I wish i could give minus 5 stars. Our York Furnace was running extremely loud. Metal on metal sound. I called Aire One because they serviced the furnace once before when under warranty. The service guy stressed with me how he likes to be thorough and check everything over carefully so that the customer doesn't get unneeded charges. He also stressed how some guys in the industry are bad. But he was trained by a really good repair guy who spent a long time in the industry. He pulled out the motor and checked over the motor, tried tightening a few things including tightening the nut holding the motor center in the unit.He looked through the blower wheel and fan blade but didn't turn it) He then put the motor back in and turned on the furnace and it was still just as noisy . He said it needed a new motor. AND whenever he replaces the motor he also always replaces the 'squirrel cage' (which is a blower wheel and fan blade). I asked him why he replaces the blower cage if its the motor that is broken and he replied 'because it is so cheap might as well while he is in there'. He quoted me $875 for a 3/4 hp motor and the blower wheel and fan blade and $114 for labour. HOWEVER since the furnace was over ten years old he recommended a new furnace for$4599 + Tax. rather than put over $1000 in repairs into it and still have an old furnace. I said I would be checking around, that seems like a lot for a motor. I checked online and bought the new motor for $158.35 (for that furnace it was actually a 1/2 HP motor) and $70.50 for the blower wheel (he told me it was only about $10 for the blower wheel /fan blade) with $19 shipping. the part arrived to the door in 2 days. I installed myself and CLEARLY the blower wheel / fan blade was broken and one turn made it clear to me that was the sound i was hearing. I put the old motor back on with the new blower /fan blade and it works perfectly and quietly. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE MOTOR. Another furnace repair guy came to fix our rented hot water tank and i explained the furnace repair needed and he thought it was odd that the furnace guy said ' i always replace the blower wheel and fan blade when i replace a motor' . Now I understand he had to get the fan blade because it's the only thing that was broken. If i had taken his written recommendation, I would have purchased a new $4599 + TAX furnace when a $70 part was all that was needed. I'm a woman... I think he underestimated this time. I wonder how many others have been misled and over charged. Incredibly unethical in my mind!!

After reading a bunch of reviews I was nervous I chose Aireone because I didn't see anything positive about going with them. I am glad I didnt change my mind though, The salesman was honest and had knowledge. I ended up purchasing a York FURNACE and A/C unit's and just had them install it today and it went great, no problems at all, matter of fact it turned out better than I thought. Clean install, took away all the old equipment and garbage. Very professional install. I recommend them for their service no doubt.

I regret that I didn't do any research before I call them, have their phone number on the furnace, so I just call them. The technician came on a Sunday morning to take a look of my AC unit. When he arrived, he drove on my glass windows that I put on my curb waiting for someone to pick up. Not so happy, but that's fine as he is the one help me to fix my AC. Then he did his inspection and told me that he will put in a part to test the unit, and he is pretty sure that's the part went wrong. OK, now the part is in, the AC is running, I should be happy. Now look at the bill, this little piece of part, they charge me $225 for it, and which it only cost $25 - $40 to buy online or at local part stores. Then the guys said he can removed it for me, but I still have to pay $49 and $119 for inspection and labour fee!! When my husband hear that, he was so pissed, and he tried to get quotes from other companies. This same job would normally cost only $120 - $180, and I PAID $445 for it!!!!!!! So don't go to this guys unless you like yourself being ripped off. I will not recommend it to anyone unless they still have warranty and free service charge. I am trying to post review on all forum/website I found to review, I am so regret that I didn't do any research before I call, and I hoping no more people got ripped off. BTW the service took maybe 20 - 30 mins, I spent 2 hours just to clean up my yard with all those broken glasses on my lawn. I give them 1 star for work on Sunday.

Repair man came in and told us our furnace what shot and we needed a new one at $3900. Turns out the secondary heat exchanger was shot and was under full warranty. Company claimed they didn't know anything about warranty and then wanted to charge me $1200 for labour to install. Labour and parts were under full warranty but they still tried to rip me off. Needless to say I called another installer and they were in and out in 2 hrs at no charge. Stay away from these people at all costs.

Worst company out there from the saleman to the manager I had contractors install furance and Air and after all was said and sone the next morning I woke up to 3 inches of water flooding my basement Contacted Aire one and they wanted to send the contractor to my house with his wife and a pail and a mop 3 Inches of water Good lord I needed more than a pail and a mop We ended up doing it ourselves and when we summitted the bill to them (which the contractor was liable for) Apparently they dont use insured contractors , they held our finacing papers hostage Wish I had got a lawyer Anyways folks shop around and remember buyer beware !!

A few Sundays ago, my furnace stopped working in the middle of the night. I looked through the yellow pages and Aire One stood out, gave them a call and they showed up at 3:30AM to fix my furnace. The Service Technician was extremely pleasant and helpful, I would definitely recommend this company.

The service from Aire One heating and cooling was unsatisfactory to say the least. There has been over 100 malfunctions with the heating and cooling system in the past few months and there were no recalls or phone calls made to the customers to inform them of it. Recently in the past month our furnace was leaking water/ residual. When we first got it installed early of last year, the installers were rude, unprofessional and swept all the dirt under the furnace as a way of "cleaning up" after themselves. They also forgot to install the water heater. This past month when the furnace was leaking, all the dirt that was swept under the furnace came out with the water and damaged the flooring, and left rust in the furnace. My advice is to shop around and know exactly what your getting yourself into. I spent a lot of money and it was not worth it. When I called the manager last year to complain about the mess and nonprofessional staff, he told me that "your just a women and you don't know what your talking about" he followed it up by letting me know that he has many lawyers and will loose the case when I take him to court (and I never stated that I wanted to sue him or the company. Take my advice or not; just warning everyone of what a mess it can turn into. You want people you can trust and will be more then happy to answer your questions and concerns.

I totally agree with you and the fustration ! This company is the far worst ! I found out after I use them that my family and friends had major dislikes for them I should have done my homework before I chose them

I have nothing but good things to say about Aire One Heating & Cooling. They quoted me a very competitive price and backed it with an extended warranty. They were not too pushy, highly knowledgeable and the installer even rolled out a red carpet to protect my floor! I did experience an issue with the equipment after the in stallation was complete and they sent a technician over to my house within 2 hours of me calling with no charges of any kind. I would highly recommend this company.
