Toronto Premier Gymnastics, Toronto Reviews (3)
Our experience was less than satisfactory so we did not return. Very cold waiting room during the Winter. Extremely hot during the summer. Complete waste of time and money as there is no clear plan for recreational students. They could not say what my child was expected to achieve at the end of the year. Just jump on the trampoline and that's it. At the same time we saw how much they catered for their competitive students. They ensured that the central part of the gym was dedicated to them. Not good business sense. Most parents get their kids to try the recreational program before moving to competitive.
The lady who appears to be in charge of this location spends more time scolding parents for peeking around the corner to watch their kids than she does making sure the children are having fun and learning new skills. The other instructors lack energy and enthusiasm. While my child wanted to go every day to mini-mastics on the Danforth, she resists every Saturday morning for Premier Gymnastics. Further, the facility is dirty.
Review: Our child participated in this organization's programming. The lack of information and low level of commutation demonstrated were clear warning signs that should have been acted upon. A parent recommendation and a friend in the class meant we still enrolled. Our child suffered a major injury requiring surgery. Management and owner / director did not inform parents of the injury or take ownership of the situation and safety issues in the equipment, facility and staffing that created the perfect opportunity for a severe injury. The biggest insult was there were no policy or procedures in place to notify parents of the injury and the leadership of the organization minimized the severity of the injury. Your children are not safe under the care and supervision of this organization and their mish-mash inexperienced, thrown together inexperienced or young and unsupervised 'staff'.
