The receptionist at Wharncliffe rd London needs a class on how to have social skills and business etiquette. All I wanted was to purchase a washing machine and I was redirected on the phone numerous of times without speaking to anyone. She left me hanging on the phone for 45 min until I hung up. I definitely won’t be calling back... SUE

Horrible customer service!! I bought an washing machine a year and half ago, which broke down. Called them to get it fixed (i bought the extended warrantee) 3 weeks later I finally get a phone call to set up an appointment for someone to come and look at it. Now its 2 months later, and I finally I get a call that they will be installing the new parts. I have a big family and do laundry every day, I cannot do without a washing machine for 2 1\2 months. I called to complain about the service, and no matter who you talk to everyone blames someone else, and nothing gets done. No reimbursement, nothing for the inconvenience, and they couldn't care less, if you are a customer or not. Their customer service is totally despicable. Good customer service shows when things go wrong, not when everything is fine. i will never buy from this company again,!!. The sad part is that I still have a 5 year extended warrantee on this washing machine, so most likely I will have to deal with this again. Horrible customer service!!

Very bad experience , i buy sofa from tepperman , and on delivery they damage the leather of sofa and before one year , the wood under the seat broke , after almost one and half year the leather start cracking , i never recommend to buy furniture from this store.i spend almost $5000 for sofa, love seat, chair and coffee table . And now for repair work they want me to pay $350 plus taxes. Before 2 years sofa is useless, the sofa was canadian made , i was thinking canadian made sofa will be good ,but not . Again never recommend to buy furniture from this store.very bad experience.

My wife and I purchased a special order Southern Motion Sofa and Love Seat in January. Our sales person, Mike Noble was fantastic. The furniture arrived in 6 wks as suggested. During delivery of the furniture into our basement the delivery guys damaged one of our walls. thy did come back and repair it but it was hastily done so I ended up repairing and painting myself. That evening, we noticed that the love seat did not have a centre console as we had ordered. We informed Mike who admitted the wrong one was ordered. An order was placed for another.
6 weeks later the replacement showed up. Once in our house, the packaging was removed and we discovered a tear in the fabric. Rather than take it down the stairs, the delivery guys put it back on the truck to return. On the way out, they damaged the jamb of the front door of our home. Mike apologized and ordered us another one. Keep in mind we had paid for the love seat 6 weeks prior.
6 weeks later, the replacement for the replacement shows up. Without taking it in the house we removed the packaging and alas, it's damaged again. Back it goes.
I know stuff happens but this is ridiculous! At no time during this process have we been offered any kind of compensation from Teppermans due to the damage to our home or the general frustration of this ordeal. I did discuss this situation with the manager in London on June 28th. He promised to look into it and call me back the same day. It's now July 4th and I still haven't heard from him despite two calls to his voice mail. What's up Teppermans? Nobody cares other than Mike. Try by reading your own Mission statement. I await your reply.

Where to start? The fact that this is the second time this company has taken thousands from me and a MONTH later I still don’t have what I paid for. Paid for two full sized couches dec 3...I told them I needed them by Christmas because of a gathering I was having and needed them. Was guaranteed delivery by mid dec - I even saw the computer - my two were in stock in warehouse. Dec 17 rolls around not even a call. I call and apparently waiting on a new order by dec 19. On dec 24 I’m still trying to chase down my couches to be told they only have one in now and if I wanted it I’d have to go get it myself. Was suggested to go get a uhaul. (I PAID for delivery and moving of couches with order also must note I have physical handicaps and can’t lift a couch). House of people no place to sit, I’m the host and at 3pm xmas EvE there is no one else open. I call again during the week of dec 25-Jan 1- couch isn’t even in now. It is JAN 4 and still no call, no customer service. Nothing. I spoke to managers and all they do is pacify you. This place is only interested in taking your money and making you wait wait wait while they keep giving YOUR orders away to everyone else. I’m still waiting. A close friend passed away two days ago. Guess what? No one has a proper place to sit. Because you guessed it -still waiting. I’m never ever going to go here again. I shouldn’t have to keep calling and calling and calling for 0 results. I called a manager again and instead of dealing with me, said he was on the floor with a customer and will call back. Am I not a paying customer? Can you not deal with me now? I’m very very frustrated. Oh and it’s been over 2 hours with no call back. Wtf.

I have shopped at Tepperman's numerous times and due to that have been named as a VIP customer however, the last trip to Tepperman's was anything BUT a VIP treatment.

I went in there to purchase furniture for my son. They had wanted a reclining love seat with middle console and matching reclining rocker. I had received a letter in the mail indicating that I had the ability to deduct a Percentage off of anything I purchase in store as long as I was there on the specified days. When I spoke to the original sales lady I advised them that I was rushed to hospital during those days and was coming in the day after the final date.
She had indicated to me that I "should" be able to deduct still and bring the letter in when we came to pay the balance. We had looked on the floor and also in the Bargain Annex. When in the Bargain Annex we had found a perfect set that was on sale for $800 for the love seat and $500 for the recliner. We had agreed to purchase this and only had to wait for it to be available. We were notified that it was ready and when we went in to pay the balance on the set I brought in the letter and was advised by the customer service rep. at the payment desk that it was not applicable. After a small discussion, I gave up and paid the balance and then proceeded to the Bargain Annex to take a look for other furniture.

While in the Bargain Annex my son, girlfriend and I noticed the exact same love seat at an even greater reduced price and asked the Salesman what was wrong with it as it was $200.00 less. He indicated that the only thing wrong with it was that the headrest on the right side was worn out but other than that it worked fine. My son asked to be able to plug it in to check to make sure and the Salesman indicated that there were no plugs available. We hemmed and hawed to see if we would take that, whilst the Salesman stated that once again the only thing wrong was the headrest being worn.

Eventually we decided to take the other unit and pay the lesser price. We arranged for delivery which was on the Saturday of the same week.

Upon delivery of the unit, we noticed that it was broke completely. We contacted Tepperman's immediately and was advised that they would send a technician out to review the furniture and then determine what they would do. I asked at the time about the 1 year manufacturers warranty and they advised me that yes that was in force.

Two days later the Technician came out and advised us that it was completely broke and that Tepperman's would contact us.

Teppermans did finally contact us 2 days later and advised that it was so badly in shape that the manufacturer would not cover it nor would Teppermans as it was sold AS IS!

Last time I checked, AS IS does not mean that it is BROKE BEYOND REPAIR, I did not believe that Tepperman's has a 'TAILGATE POLICY" in effect or that they should be selling something that is 'BEYOND REPAIR AND NOT COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER!!"

I asked Tepperman's what our options were and they stated"

1) Keep it;
2) Come into the store and purchase something else as they would not replace it;
3) Return it and get a store credit for something else.

Okay seriously,

YES I am going to keep broken furniture that is not usable;
YES I am going to go to the same store that just RIPPED me off and purchase something else and pay more for it;
YES I am going to take a store credit and possibly be RIPPED OFF again.

I am so glad to see that Tepperman's really treats their VIP special. I guess in their minds VIP means 'VERY IGNORANT PEOPLE" that we can rip off easily.

Guess my business will be going elsewhere #Tepperman's

if i could give a zero i would. paid a fortune for a leather couch and love seat and the colour came off in less than 3 years. after paying $400 to re dye them the result only lasted 5 months. when we contacted customer service we were told the problem was oil from our skin which was a ridiculous claim since we don't sit in the living room naked. the bottom line was they refused to do anything about the problem. we will never shop from teppermans again.

I am very disappointed with our purchase with your store,have purchased many items over the years,this is the worst.ordered three appl,Apr-2017 told it would be two maybe three weeks,it turned into two months.Home depot could have del within one week,when dishwasher was unpacked it was damaged,girl said that it would be within six days,now i,m told it will be
a couple of weeks,so much for being a loyal customer,will have second thoughts

Everytime I go in the store there are new people. Sales are sales but how do I build a relation ship if you keep changing staff. Delivery was poor the guys just wanted out so never more couch to basement as promised by girl at counter said. Counter girl was rude and distracted. She smelled of cigarettes and her drink was more important than my wife and I.After what felt like an argument I against my wife signed up for insurance on order. Luckily I come back in to change my order and the new pretty girl with beautiful hair said I didn't have to have it and removed it. Still if you keep your staff I wouldn't have such terrible service and when I complained to manager she didn't care. Never again!

No matter how hard I try I cannot get off of their mailing list. I have sent back mail, sent multiple emails, made multiple telephone calls but the junk still keeps coming. Not only do they not respect the environment, they don't respect the fact that I respect the environment.

I purchased a stacking Washer Dryer combo, and it has been a miserable experience.

On purchase, i was not informed that the dryer didn't not include an exhaust hose.

When the installers arrived, (after complaining about the size of my laundry room) they noticed that there was no exhaust hose but installed the stacking kit anyways(locking the dryer on top of the washer).

About an hour after the install, i noticed the floor was wet! I struggled to get in behind this 500 lb obstacle to shut off the taps. I live in an apartment building, so flooding is a major concern.

I called Teppermans Customer Care, after being directed to do so by my salesperson who said that they would speak to the installers to call me back.

I heard back 4 hours later.

The installers arrived back at my apartment about an hour later after that call without notifying me, looked at the setup and notified me that my taps were leaking. This is obviously my responsibility, but walking away from a leaky tap as an appliance installer is not something that should happen either.

I had to call in a plumber to fix the taps and undo everything the installers did. Moving the washer and dryer so much naturally scuffed them up quite a bit, so my week old washer and dryer look pretty rough.

I went back into the store, with the knowledge that i could return items 7 days after the purchase. I was not intending to cause a scene, but to just inform a manager of my miserable experience.

She listened quite attentively, apologized and offered some form of reimbursement for my aggravation.

I heard back from her today, which is conveniently over the 7 day deadline, that they are offering me a $50 gift certificate.

I spent more than that on the install, which had to be undone. I also purchased a extended warranty, which i am unsure about them even caring about fulfilling, if issues with a new install takes 5 hours to get a response.

I will never purchase from your company again. Mistakes happen, but customer service is about effort, not necessarily about results. No one put the effort in, so I will not be back.

I ordered a sectional and had to wait 3 weeks for it to come in, so they finally called to say it was in and just to tell me that it will be another week for delivery! I think a $3000 sectional plus delivery should be a better delivery service! I'm only giving a 2

It has taken me a while to stop being so angry
We have purchased so much from teppermans. Even getting our children to buy from you but no more.
We purchased a sofa just on a year it was squeaking when you sat on it.
When I phoned I had to plead with them as I was told it was over a year so no longer in warranty.
They sent a man down to look at it he did his report, they said yes they would fix it, someone came down, and fixed it next day started doing the same thing fixed again, same thing took it away to fix it in the end I asked if they could just replace it. Don't do that one anymore was told ,
Was told I had 2 weeks to pick a new one. Asked if they would put the credit on something I had already purchased on a don't pay for x months aww no can't do that. You have to get another sofa, so ended up getting a sofa I don't like as I ran out of time trying to find one like I had.
To make matters worse I had to pay again for delivery.

Have been a customer for almost 30 years! I have always been treated cordially by staff. We have purchased bedroom furniture, sofa sets, kitchen/dining room furniture. In August I returned to Teppermans looking for a sofa set. I was met by a wonderful salesperson, Mike Pepper! He was very knowledgable, patient, and gave us great advice. I did purchase that Deco-rest furniture. Since then I have returned , this time with my daughter and fiancé. Once again we had the pleasure of having Mike help us. Many purchases later, I have the pleasure of saying, "Thank you Mike" for helping us with our recent order!
Tepperman's should be very proud of the great job you do with greeting, helping, and treating customers the way they should!
Always a pleasure coming to Teppermans!

I highly recommend this store. I purchased several items including a fridge. It started to leak on the inside and when I called Teppermans they were fantastic to speak with and even though we moved out of town and the warranty expired the month before they still came and fixed the fridge. Awesome customer service!

I bought a set of chairs from Tepperman's prior to Christmas (the first week of December) and they gave a delivery date for one of the items in three days and said they would call. When they did not call, I called two weeks later, and they informed me they did not have the shipment but it would be in the 6th of January. Again they did not call. Finally I called the 14th and it was in, but no one called. I called to complain and they refused to let me talk to a manager.
Their claims that they are #1 in customer service is a lie. I will never buy from them again.

The salesman. mr Scott Urquart was very helpful in all ways in our decision. He knows his job very well ,and professional manners were used by him. The movers where great in removing our old fridge, and setting up the new one. Not a mark on walls or floor. Thanks. The Hord's we will buy again at your store.

Recently purchased a Sony 65" TV for Christmas. TV was picked up Dec 22 and brought home. TV was installed Dec 23 just in time for Christmas. When we turned on the tv, we were horrified to see a huge crack in the screen. I immediately got on the phone with customer service and was greeted with a friendly person on the phone. In no time at all, I was otherised to exchange the tv. We quickly returned the tv and again had nothing but full support from the staff at Teppermans. Our new tv is mounted and works no great just in time for Christmas. Thank you for the support you gave us. Merry Christmas.

i was using my credit card payment for the loan before. at the final payment when i using my credit they refused and saying that the won't accept any credit card, my question is that, then why they take my credit payment in person 2 times before ?
Ammar Dakhil told to me to pay in cash or debit , which i don't now before coming to the store.
Big store, big business then why you keeping un experience staff at the counter ?

Based on the situation you describe, it sounds like there is definitely something amiss.

In general, we don’t usually accept credit cards to make a payment on a financed balance.

There are special circumstances where that can be done but it is exceptionally rare.

When you quoted our “payment method accepted” you were correct in pointing out that we do accept all of these methods of payment at the time of purchase.

If you select the option to finance with Tepperman’s however, we would only accept cash/debit transactions as payments against your balance.

Black Friday was a crazy shopping day for many. I shopped around at most furniture stores and found Teppermans had a nice sale compared to other stores. I especially like the salesman, Doug, who helped me out. He showed my his tops picks for couch sets, which were all nice and good deals. He gave me space to browse around the store independently and did not use any sales pressure strategies on me. He was open and transparent with me, which I appreciated. Great job!

I was given a time that my couch was going to be delivered. The couch was delivered way before the set time. The two delivery men brought the couch upstairs with no bit of trouble. I will for sure buy from Tepperman's again

I wish I had my complete set of furniture to compliment my home. Going on 5 weeks and still waiting! Ridiculously long delivery times. Start paying for your furniture even though you only have half of it! Somethings seriously wrong with this picture. Never buying from you guys again.
